I think you're the only one that's worried about it taking long and the videos showing "repetitive" things. Everyone else has been happy to follow the slow journey of restoration. It makes me realise normal people don't build a car in 3 weeks, so I'm not alone 👍 Going to be a happy and sad day when it's done, you better buy another project to film 😂

Those wolseley hornets are funny things, they are literally just a mini with a different grille and have a saloon boot, they also made the Riley elf which was more or less the same, i still prefer the regular mini, I have a cooper that I’m restoring currently 😅

Hey Neil, once the 86 is painted drown the cavities with deodorised fish oil. Makes a mess, but so worth it. I put 2 or 3 litres in my escort nearly 20 years ago and she is still mint. Well done!

You would have loved the late night twin-cam sessions in Waterford back in the day. Store-All out the Cork road was the place to go before it got fenced off. Max Power even came over and covered a ring session out there, with the infamous 'Fly' capturing the shots. I have the magazines here still, I'll see can I root them out and send you a few photos. It started off as a regular car cruise down on the docks, and then word filtered through to all the twin cam lads that Max Power wanted to do a photo session with us away from the rest of the cruise so we all heading out to Store-All. There was around 25-30 Twin-Cams (no jap imports had come into ireland at the time so all were UK Spec) and all the cams gathered around in a circle facing the middle and one by one each one went into the middle and put on a show. There is a picture of me piloting with Butsy hanging out my window while doing rings around Fly as he takes photos lol Savage nights

Most of them are shite, indeed. The only good one I've come across is Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80. I used that on some shitty brake calipers that had seen many salty winter roads, and rattle canned them grey after. No clear or anything. Stayed mint until the car died. Boggles the mind, really.

Yeah we ground off most of it except for the pitted areas, the lads tested this outside in the rain on bare metal for awhile, seemed to work well

In the early 2000s that color was on 75% of minivans.. we dubbed it, "Burple" its not offensive, but a dull in-between color that just kinda sickens.. haha
