That’s really impressive. Finding that sweet spot with the PSI (BAR) and then getting 4 shots with a 50 cal is way more then anyone needs for hunting big game. I am so impressed with what this AEA company is doing I have seriously considered one of them being my next air rifle. I wish the website would give a little more info though. Like shot count on their guns etc etc. Thank you for the awesome review. Keep it up!

Anything you need to know about this gun buddy I'm here... I own one of these aea 50 cal Challenger Bullpup.. I have used as a deer rifle and it works like you would want it too.. there will be an instant blood trail that's what you want.. I have added no mods to mine shooting 240 NSA hollow points they are very accurate my gun shoots great with 495 sized ammo... i fill to 4500 PSI for Target practicing and fun get 16 shots total... for hunting pressures I don't recommend going over 3600 PSI because you will not have the power you're expecting at that high PSI.. I know it sounds weird but believe me.. even 3,200 is awesome for big game.. you definitely get five great powerful shots... mine will go through a fire extinguisher easily.. 4x4 easily and.. heavier metal may be penetrable with more durable ammo hollow points open too much to penetrate the thicker stuff.. Me and my friends we compared the 50 cal aea to his 308 and they are pretty much the same 100 yards capable easily both go through same amount of lumber and both reach out a good ways but you can get the 308 out there a little farther but we both have the same problem at that point his drop is almost 12 nearing 200 yd don't know my drop rate for yardage like his because I keep within a hundred yards but I'm sure 12 in would probably be its Max like his 308 he's pushing more powder and a small bullet.. I'm shooting heavy heavy lead to make up for it his hundred grain ammo is the same as my 400 hollow points hitting Target pretty much same energy. But mine has a little bit of a bigger hole but he may get the pass through I probably won't.. either way both are great for what they're made for.

I’m thinking about getting the new elite model on preorder can’t decide what caliber, I own a Texan 45 and a bulldog 357 already but was thinking with a 50 cal I could use cheap steel balls for practice and maybe even those rubber steel balls

I've watched a few AEA big bore videos, and love them, but was reluctant to buy one because of the 3600psi. But now, seeing that 3600 is obviously too much air, and that 3150 seems to be the "sweet spot", I'm pulling the trigger. Dadgum awesome deal!

That's very impressive power if you add a little more air pressure to the tank a heavier grain slug and the power washer kit in the rear you can easily go a little over 600 FPE I could only imagine how many watermelons it would do then :-)

We can not even have a big flashlight in our bedrooms in the Netherlands.. But, high power airguns are allowed.. So, in case of home defence, not sports, what is the best combination. In nr. of shots, power and caliber.. Right now we can only expect a small group of two or three, or a single burglar in our homes...

Happy New Year Ben but you know you should have done the trigger pull test on that and not tell everybody it's got a good crisp trigger when it does not I have got the 50 cal Bullpup gun you have right there the triggers terrible and that's really to Bad Because that air rifle seems to be made really well the weight and the trigger is the only thing I Don't like about the gun

This particular gun has a great trigger but I have tested a bunch of AEA guns and the triggers can vary. So it’s possible that yours is unfortunately not one of the “good ones”

Well it was definitely a top contender for me, until I saw the FPS variation between shots. 10% is a lot of difference, especially considering it's the first shot that's lower, that the shot most likely taken on a game animal. I'd much rather the big swings come on the later shots not the first. What are you supposed to do, say excuse me mr game animal, let me get a couple warm up shots in first.
