Thanks for watching Garry. My AEA Challenger Pro in 25 Cal is a great backyard air rifle and it will take down a lot of critters pushing 100+ fpe. I have new rail out for the Challenger Pro rifles that I'm about to show in some new videos.

Mike, great video! Top notch equipment all the way around, bud. You're taking guesswork out for so many and making some slaes for a few slug manufacturers.. Loved the ending, and so did Karsten, which was really nice of you. He also loves your quality rail system. He is able to shoot way better with the bipod further out. We got all the bugs worked out of the new .357 LB (summer upgrade), and we are going to be doing our own testing soon.

How many shots per fill on the regulator with the larger tank ?

With the amount of recoil that those 60’s put out, I think a proper artillery hold might do wonders for those longer range groups
@backyardairguns6 ай бұрын
I don't disagree, but I really suck at military hold or free hand hold. :-) One of my fans said the longer Altaros slugs were heating the barrel and that is why the 5th shot in a 5-shot group is off. I'm going to pause longer between shots next time at the range and see if that has an impact. I'm a big fan of your channel.

I just recently became an official distributor for AEA and I stock and sell New AEA rifles including the Challenger Pro. However, my new AEA Challenger Pro rifles come fitted with my new Tactical Rail in picatinny or arca. And the additional rail is free when you purchase the rifle. I also offer larger 500cc tank upgrades. Check out www.backyardairguns.com

I have watched several videos of yours concerning this particular gun. I have an interest in this air rifle, and I've read things that getting parts for it can be somewhat challenging and that it has magazine issues; is there some truth to these concerns? If I purchase this gun, I think I would be shooting doom pellets 95% of the time.
@backyardairguns3 ай бұрын
In my opinion, these rifles are great. I have many and don't have issues with them. I never need parts for these, but if I do, I can get them from The Pellet Shop or BinTacLLC. As for the mags, in some of my rifles the mags seem to slip a little after it is shot. I push the mag back in with a little push and it works as normal. I think the fix to this is to seat the barrel a little further back in the block. I have not tried this yet.

🤠 Hi, I keep watching your great videos. I already signed up for a AEA HP Max in .30 cal as a truck gun and some hunting after watching a video from Shooter1721 where he was hitting a 1 inch spread at one hundred yards with this gun. But is not regulated so the air does not last long… and I may not be as good as a shot as he is with a 10 inch barrel. Army was long time ago. Since you have done so much great testing - and own these rifles - I have two questions regarding the "Challenger PRO Standard": 1. If I want to hunt medium sized game at 150-200 yards just for the fun of the sniper experience: Would I be better off with the Challenger Pro in .25 or .30 Cal? 2. What would be the best grain weight for the chosen caliber? Any help will be much appreciated. 👍
@backyardairguns5 ай бұрын
Hi Travel, Thanks for the positive comments on the channel. Shooter 1721 is a much better shot than me. I met him at NAC earlier this year and I will see him next week at Pyramyd Cup (great guy). I am a huge fan of the Challenger Pro (i have many in all calibers). However, I not sure it's the right rifle to hunt at 150 to 200 yards. I use my 25 cal for my varmint, backyard rifle. I get 100+ fpe out of my 25 Cal. It will easily dispatch opossum and racoons with one shot. The best hunting pellet for the 25 cal is the Seneca Hunting Pellet/Slug in 43g. For medium size game at 150+ yards you certainly want the 30 cal over the 25 cal. The 30 cal will get around 150 fpe and it will be more accurate at longer range. The most accurate pellet/slug in the AEA Challenge Pro in 30 cal is the AEA 50.5g pellets. These pellets shoot like slugs. I have a video coming tomorrow on that rifle and ammo combination you will find interesting. :-)

@@backyardairguns 🤠 I just re-read your message. "...I not sure it's the right rifle to hunt at 150 to 200 yards..." Are you suggesting a different rifle brand or model? Also. The only reason I am not going for a .35 cal is because I am looking to minimize noise as much as possible. Many times when hunting the game (boar) you cross long distances and by following it you end up before sunrise or after sunset in a different canyon, with a different owner that you don’t know, and even if is an open range area without houses and rarely visited the whole region notices that “some stranger" is hunting in their neighborhood because the noise.

@@AirRuna1- they like to talk smack about airforce also. I have a .308 Texan that prints 3 shots off a fill at 200 yards that is sub 2 MOA (three - 3 shot groups) and I think all came in at about 1.5 MOA. And that’s while making about 240 fpe with a 30 cal. It’s a dedicated slug gun and I cast my own ammo almost exclusively however it does like some AVS and NSA weights. The crazy thing is it seems that the 180 grn Lee mold projectiles have a tendency to tumble. The slugs are .985” long. I’ve never shot anything that bleeds but this projectile seems to tumble reliably. That’s a big wound channel for 30 caliber. It’s the only 30 caliber slug that’s caused a 5 gal jug to rip from energy bump. Video linked below. Took two shots and both exit tumbling. 308 Super Police Style Tumbling Air Rifle Loads kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZmzamOGnqh2n7s AEA makes some big fpe rifles.
