AEA HP Max - Adapter for Quick Release Bottles

The idea is great and I am looking for something like that. But I damaged the thread when I changed the bottles on my FX Dreamline with bottle connector. I wonder that it works at you. At screwing on the bottle, the bottle-valve opens fully before it is complete screwed on. That damage the thread and fails after several mount. My own experiance. I don’t know what i could have made wrong so I dont change the bottles anymore under high pressure. Let's see how it works at you in the near future, I will keep an eye on you😁. I have tested it but removing and refitting it constantly. Today I must have removed it and put it back on ay least 30 times and it all works perfectly.

Nice work on your video! What size bottle did you put in my Hp Max? Looks like a good fit. I have been interested in an Hp Max 457. I have heard the bottle mod will cause it to lose about 40 fps. I you experienced any loss of performance?

I'm using a 500cc carbon bottle and I believe if using an unregulated gun, the adapter will decrease the power by about 35%.

Good to know. I would like to get more shots and a slower drop in pressure, but I don't want to lose power.

I suspect that the fx bottle adapter would be a significant bottleneck for FAC power level Airguns. Probably unnoticeable at 12 ft lbs, however. I put a Hatsan Blitz double bottle adapter on a .30 HP MAX, and it cut the first shot power level from 100+ ft lbs to 70+ ft lbs on the first shot. Granted, with 1,000cc’s of capacity it took 55+ shots to get down to 55 ft lbs from 70. At 12 ft lbs, I’d imagine that 500cc is good for 100+ shots at practically consistent speed without a regulator beyond whatever they do to limit it to 12.

At 100fpe are you using pellets or slugs at what gn weight? 👍

What caliber? I use JSB 81 Gr Diabolo pellets in my .357, for the .30 I would use the 50 Gr JSB Diabolo pellet. These guns love those pellets more than they like the slugs and still have plenty of power. That is also the pellet that AEA suggests. @@Dan-rw5wk

.30 cal Should have a play about with slugs I find they work just aswell. I'm finding 49gn slugs aren't too shabby @whitemountainman3872

@@Dan-rw5wk They definitely shoot fine I just found I got way better accuracy with those JSB pellets. I haven't shot the .30 at all yet just the .357 but I assume they are prwtty similar. My GK1 is the opposite, it likes the slugs way more than pellets. You are right though there is def alot of wiggle room and most slugs and pellets will work out of it just fine.

@@Dan-rw5wk I’ve used everything from Hatsans cheap 44 gr pellets, to JSB 44 gr, to NSA 47 and 61 gr slugs. They all consistently come out to about 100 fpe + or - 2-5 ft lbs for the first 2-3 shots. The velocity depends on the mass of the pellet or slug, but the energy is the same regardless of the mass. I’m not a trick shooter like Shooter 1721, so I’m happy when I get a group a few inches across at 100-150’. Also, it’s a 13” barrel high power air rifle, so I don’t really expect FX precision accuracy from it. I’m certain that there are better shooters than me, who can knock aspirin tablets off of balloons with my air rifles, but I’m not that guy.

Hello, I recently ordered an adapter too, but I have a problem with air leakage at the charging point. I fill normally up to 300 bar and when it finishes filling, everything simply comes out through the filling hose. I assembled the adapter according to the instructions, but I can't figure out where the problem is. Did it go smoothly for you? Best regards😊

Sounds like an O ring needs replacing. The adapter in my video was custom made. What adapter have you got and where did you buy it from ?

Thanks for the advice, I wrote an e-mail. Now I changed the new rings and when I put the filled bottle everything is fine, there is no leakage, and when I go to fill the bottle through the rifle, the same problem air leaks at the filling point.
