There's a set screw for adjusting the detent on the mags, I've put thousands of shots through both of my clips since early June last year, I have the carbine and mine was about $700 to my door. It's a wonderful semi auto and I haven't had any problems with it, mine shoots good 250bar right on down. When I first got it I filled to 230bar for a couple hundred shots to start with for breaking it in. The gun has been flawless for me.

I will look into this when I break the gun down further, I have not seen how the barrel seats into the action. Thanks for the reply.

2 days since my HP SS+ .25 arrived and the first mag is broken. My gun came from that Spain shop, so I'll reach out. The gun build is amazingly good. Documentation and magazine quality are complete crap. Btw, the sniffing and coughing are very noticeable in the video. Otherwise awesome 👍

I've had an HPSS .25cal for quite a while now and I've never had any problems with the 4 magazines that I have. After a year or so and about 2000 rounds a Valve pin finally broke but Pete at AEA northeast Warranted and gave me another one.

you folks with no magazine issues are really lucky, i have 4 mags and basically 3 of them have problems some of the time. they mostly work, but the spring flies loose sometimes or they jam, or simply fail to load the next pellet. some of the magazines are made better than others it seems.

Great video! I own the AEA HP SS .25 cal. Had issues with the mags from the get go, also jamming issues that I think are magazine related. I purchased this from The Pellet Shop, and though they did give me a couple of extra magazines and re wound the other two, they didn’t really address the issue. Not very impressed with their customer service. I recently converted my gun to bolt action and this has improved the performance. I also moved the pressure gauge to the bottom of the gun like yours, so I’m not looking down the barrel to check the pressure, much more user friendly, and safer. I’m planning to upgrade to a carbon fiber tank so if anyone has suggestions on what to get and where to purchase I would greatly appreciate it. Until then, I’ll keep watching videos.

Just got the HPSS+.30 cal, have ran a few mags of JSB 45 grain and JSB 50 gr so far so good. Had heard issues of mags and leaks but so for no issues. The Pellet Shop was my supplier and great customer service 👌

i have all kinds of magazine issues, i have taken them apart and re set the spring, have had to shave down extra plastic, all kinds of issues// mostly they work correctly but the magazine is definitely the weak point in this gun. I even bought some newer ones/ slightly different newer model number, they work a little better but still fail sometimes. So Sad the website you list is currently out of metal magazines for the .25 but thanks so much for the tip i look forward to acquiring one.

When I got my first AEA (.25) my reaction was that the magazines were of poor quality. I took one apart. The spring is crap. The magazines for the .30 are of similar quality. While both of my rifles have the magnet none of the magazines have the corresponding metal disk. Also be careful if you own different calibers the magazines fit on either rifle. Unknowingly I put a .30 into the .25 easily and wondered why it wouldn't fire! It disgusts me that this company decided to cheap out on the magazines when the rest of the platform looks so well built. And the replacements are overpriced for what you get. I like the idea of the metal aftermarket magazines. Also, I have some ideas on improving the magazine and tripling its capacity. Thanks for the info

They're not even in stock most times I've checked. Doesn't make me wanna drop $600+ on a hp ss plus or the carbine when I hear all the issues with the magazines and know they only come with 1 or 2 magazines in the box.
@UncleChuckApproved Жыл бұрын
It really is a sore point, the metal magazines are very superior and should be standard.
@intractablemaskvpmGy Жыл бұрын
@@UncleChuckApproved I don't think it's an issue that Bin at AEA will try to fix. He's already moved on with the S45 and I think the HP SS series is discontinued as there aren't many for sale now at the dealers. And I can't find the metal magazines for sale. Evidently, the magazines are similar with the S45, but I saw a guy here on YT that printed up some stick magazines that actually work better than the rotary. Holds more pellets and unleashed more potential for the gun.

Hola, acabo d recibir mi AEA HP Carbine semiautomática cal 5.5. Gracias.
@UncleChuckApproved2 жыл бұрын
Cuidate

Is there no way to cycle the magazine manually ?
@UncleChuckApproved2 жыл бұрын
Not really, it is semi-auto, so after you pull the bolt back to load the first round, high pressure air cycles the action, which in turn the spring turns the magazine.

Nice video! Did you try it in 6.35 or 7.62? I'm looking forward to buying it at 7.62 but the speeds don't surprise me. My question is whether at 7.62 it generates a considerable difference in energy compared to 6.35 that justifies the jump in caliber... since at 6.35 they comment that it hits very well!

This is 6.35 / .25, see comment to your other reply.
