I just purchased a used HP Varmint 25 caliber and it stopped shooting after 10 shots. I followed your instructions and sure enough the valve pin had broken in a few pieces! Easy process to change after watching this video. Thanks Terry!😊

These videos are pure gold - for a few reasons. I'm new to airguns but I am very familiar with firearms; that said, I like to work, clean, and get to know the gun. These videos give me the resources to learn and gain confidence to purchase an airgun with the knowledge that I can clean and repair it. I wouldn't want to buy a gun I couldn't repair or at least disassemble/assemble myself. With these videos I am now in the market to buy more - and AEA looks like my "next level" airgun. Many thanks for these videos. Best to you, Mark in Colorado.

Great video. Tip: to get a broken valve pin out, just use a magnetitic pickup tool. Easier than hemostats.

Just noticed the bottle's transfer port. Huge! What mm is that? Most airgun manufactures make these small (on purpose??) so power is artificially limited. Nice work by AEA!

@bryanzimmerman8646 Жыл бұрын
You can make replacements out of PEEK. Which is a much stronger plastic than the delrin OEM part. My original broke after less than 300 shots. My replacement is the prototype and it has over 3000 shots and is still going strong. I have a hobby lathe which helps but a drill press will work in a pinch.

are all the valve pins the same on hp guns? how many differnt hammer springs do the differnt hp use what ones are softer and what ones heavier? Are the ports all the same bore ? just wondering what parts other than barrel length what makes some more powerfull? Just bought a .30 assissan cant wait for it to get hear!
@centralvalleyairgunners23803 жыл бұрын
Same valve pin yes. I’m not sure about how many hammer springs and I think it’s barrel length and spring combined that makes the power differences

Fast pace, informative, graphically pleasing, just the facts ma'am, and no bullsheet. Liked, subscribed, and rang that bell. Bonus Comment: I would have taken out that fly OTA (with one of those electric fly swatters that look like a tennis racquet). Bah-zaps (electrocutes) any and all winged pests, with the added benefit of instilling in the warrior a sense of accomplishment and feelings of glory. Alas, once again I'm denied a little bit of pleasure. 😥Oh well, for me it is back to the salt mines.

Very good info but on almost all your videos you have huge volume variations. Very loud to can't hear anything unless I put volume on 100%. So might want to check that.

Hey terry quick question I got the hp ss carbine 30 cal from you guys awhile back and I had to take the barrel shroud off but when I took the baffles out I lost track of how many there are supposed to be in there… so how many baffles and the little thin washers are there in the hp ss carbine 30 cal

Seems funny to me that when you try to contact AEA about there valve pin problem! They will not answer you back or even answer their phone or return your phone call.. People do your self a favor, Don’t buy a AEA product because the valve pin break very often. I have the 25 cal hp and I’m on my fourth valve pin . And haven’t put 300 rounds through it. you better have deep pockets t if you’re going own one

This part is pure garbage and the fail point on the s45 almost 100% of the time when they break. Contact us ! We make aftermarket Valve pins that are never going to break ! They are SAFE to use in the rifles and do NOT create any internal damage to the rifle even if the company is not for them. They would rather sell you a valve pin at 30 a pop that will not last more than 100 -250 shots max in the S45! Ours will never break and will always do the job it needs to do to make the rifle work.
