🤠 Hi. I am a senior and I am moving back near a wilderness. I thought of an AEA HP MAX on .35 would be a good truck gun, and maybe a Challenger Pro for hunting,. But I was thinking about my wife alone in the range and thought about the AEA SF on .35 or .30.because she wouldn't have to deal with the bolt action, but just pull the trigger. My question to you is: Does the AEA SF has enough power to be considered as a self defense gun for 25-50 yards? Any help will be much appreciated.
@toxicmatrix133710 ай бұрын
I think for the SF it tops off at .30 cal, if theres a .35 cal that would be much better in terms of power. The .30 is closer to a .25acp, about 50ft/lbs. It is pretty accurate, Ive used mine up to 70 yards no problem. The biggest issue are the mags. You will 1000% need to make sure the mags have the correct spring tension, they will have feed issues in semi if the tension is too much. Search bintac aea mags on YT, he covers how to fix the problem. Check out the Huben GK1, that might be an option, its very expensive though, I have heard people were getting more ft/lbs than estimated with those. I believe upwards of 80+ ft/lbs.

🤠 Thank you so much that is a great info . I downloaded the three Bintac videos I found on the subject. Considering how popular AEA air rifles are there is a good market for third party parts. I would be great if somebody made some hardier aluminum magazines. "I'll spread the word". I also made a typo on my message; what I meant was .25 and .30 cal. Not .35 for the AEA FS,. I like the idea of heavier calibers but I saw a video of a hunter who advocated penetration over expansion and since the .25 has great accuracy, travels faster I want to collect people's opinions on its competitiveness over the .30 cal when you don't have a platform with lots of power. Then is the semi auto "Terminator", but is heavy and bulky. Thank you so much for your help 👍 @@toxicmatrix1337

What is the best bang for you buck compact tactical air rifle in 22 cal either single shot or semi-auto that won't break the bank?
@toxicmatrix13374 ай бұрын
If you are looking to just do some plinking or small game, maybe the Diana Chaser. Comes as a pistol, but has a stock to make it a carbine. 2 barrels come with, has a moderator to quiet things down a bit. Runs off CO2, its around 120. If you want to get a PCP, the bandit is pretty much the same thing. You can swap the barrels and stock onto the bandit from the chaser, they go hand in hand. I really like having the ability to change parts around. 1 CO2 gets 3 or 4 good mags, 21 to 28 rounds. Bandit does about 14 per fill.

@@toxicmatrix1337 Cool, I'll check it out. I was also looking at the Umarex Notus. I like the AEA HP-SS Semi-auto-pistol but that looks like it is sold out and hard to get.
@toxicmatrix13374 ай бұрын
@@danh5194 The Notos would definitely be a good option for a little bit more $. The semi-autos can be a steep jump in price, AEA is one of the cheaper options out there.
@danh51944 ай бұрын
@@toxicmatrix1337 Thanks, is there a budget friendly option to refill the tank on a PCP setup that doesn't involve a hand pump. The correct type of compressors look expensive.
@toxicmatrix13374 ай бұрын
@@danh5194 Cheapest route that is fast would be a transfer tank, but you would need a shop to fill it for you if you didnt have a compressor. The yong hengs compressors on amazon are cheap and popular, but they are hit or miss. Those units would be able to fill the PCPs cylinders, but probably not transfer tanks

Does the Ryu quick connect directly to the SF rifles without an additional adapter?
@toxicmatrix133710 ай бұрын
Still need the adapter. The base of the Ryu with the quick disconnect threads onto it. Just allows for quick changes or storage. I think they are making QDs for other moderators to convert them to this style of detachment as well.

Thanks for the re. How noticable is it moderated vs not? I heard a yokozuna recently and it sounded exactly like stock @@toxicmatrix1337
@toxicmatrix133710 ай бұрын
@@ColemanAsCode I just ordered a decibel meter to run it and see the actual difference. I haven't fired it in a long time without the Ryu, this should help get a better idea. A lot of the noise is from the action, I know on my Gauntlet its a significant difference with a moderator on. With my Zeus its a massive change.

Hard to say. I got my challenger pro since Christmas 2023 shot over 500 rounds and haven’t experienced any issues except the regulator nut came loose. I noticed it because velocity was dropping. Once tightened everything is perfect again 🤞

Thanks.. Don't want anything less powerful than my blitz. I like it, But most 30cal Are around a 100 foot-pounds, but I couldn't pass up the fully automatic aspect for the price, especially compared to others. That are double and triple of the price.
