Great video! I've only recently discovered your channel but have been enjoying it a lot! We have the original core box and a few extra affilitation packs we've picked up along the way (including the 2022 updated card/sheets pack). I saw they've put out a new core box and thought that was neat! Do you feel there's enough new stuff in there to eventually get that newer core set or just focus on getting new characters (like enchantress or vision) in smaller expansions?

I think the new core set offers a lot of interesting options with the new versions of the characters (I particularly like Captain Marvel, Cosmic Avenger, The Black Widow, Doctor Octopus, Sinister Scientist, and Ultron, from the new set). My advice in this instance, though, would be to grab the new box if any of the new versions of the character really speak to you, otherwise, I think the various other Character Packs might bring a bit more joy, in the meantime. The new Core Set will be there for a bit, so there is not crazy rush to get it. Enjoy your journey! I truly think this is one of the best miniature games I have played in my time wargaming

@AegisbrandStudios Thank you for responding and the advice! It's a super fun game! We love it here and are excited to try some more things like the Ultimate Encounters. That's a good idea, if we see any good sales for the new box we may be tempted to get it but we'll just keep building our rosters in the meantime. (I thought captain Marvel's and ultrons new characters were really cool though!) I'll keep going through your other videos as well, and i just subscribed.

You have to take damage to use the Convo leadership place. Books only comes back on KOs.

Yes, people have called out the books misplay a couple times now, and I own it. Thankfully, the card had a very minor impact on the game, given the sheer lack of physical attacks. As to the other, legit missed the damage part in the text. Surprised no one else caught it, especially some Convo players who reached out to me 🤣

First off, congrats to Troope for pulling off a Dark Dimension victory! This game has got me pondering about adding new Ultron (and the grunts) into a Convocation roster. He has crazy-good mystic/mental defenses and his Ultron drone could proc Iron Bound Books over and over and over, like Electra's Hand minions. What do you think?

I think new Ultron has a lot of interesting utility. I have seen some conversations about him in convo, so there is something there, I agree. You should play around with it!

9:52 just a btw, Dormammu counts defenders skulls as his successes when attacking too (master of the realm of darkness)! So should’ve been 6 successes to jean’s one defense, taking 5.

Bar with No Doors requires you to take damage for the bump effect. Strange moved several times he didnt take damage on the attack.

Ultron cant be advanced or pushed by mystic attacks or super powers?

Right, but pushes and advances from physical/energy, as well as throws are still fair game

Take another look at the Inspiring Monologue card. You used it to reroll attack dice here and you used it as a reactive card. Probably were thinking about a different card (Kun-Lun Training)? Either way, thanks for the battle report guys...always a fun watch.

Quick mistake in round 2. When Wong is dazed you do not get IBB back. It states on the card when KO'd. Love your battle reports and that is totally a common mistake I have made before.

Yeah, that one was brought up, but good reminder, regardless. Thankfully, it did not make a huge impact in this game, given the lack of physical attacks, in general
