You should take a look at the shrine weekender backpacks. One compartment for shoes/camera accessories and another for clothes. The added hat sling is amazing as well. Has plenty of storage options. Can’t tell you the amount of things I’ve packed in that bag.

Thanks for the review! You’re the only one so far with a full review of this bag. I’m wondering, how well does this bag compare with the Duffle Pack? I’m looking for one bag that would work for work/gym (80% of the time) as well as travel (either as my only carry-on for short trips or as a personal item along with rolling carry-on for longer trips). Which would you recommend and why? Thanks!

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m glad the video was helpful! And tough choice between the two, personally I like the look of the travel pack 2 small a little more and it is better for traveling in my opinion due to the clamshell opening on the main area. It is a little bigger though so it might not be quite as convenient for daily use as the duffel pack. So if you don’t have a preference between the look of the two and you don’t care about the clamshell opening the duffel pack sounds like it might be a slightly better option since you said you’d be using it for work / gym most of the time. A few additional things I’d mention is it’s nice that this bag includes a luggage pass through which I think they added on the x pac version of the duffel pack but I’m not sure if that’s on all of them. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags :)

Great video! Was waiting for this. It's quite unfortunate that this isn't that much lighter than the original Travel Pack even though it's smaller. Also think the shoe compartment is quite unnecessary for this smaller pack but hey, it's doesn't take up extra space if not in use anyway so no biggie 👍.

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I think that will depend on how much you normally like to pack. For longer term travel the Aer travel pack 2 has been my go to and I also like that it has the compression straps on the sides for some additional versatility. If you don’t think you’ll need the additional space or you are a more minimal packer than it may be worth saving a little bit. Thank you for watching and good question! I think that depends how minimally you pack and if you prefer something that is more for daily use or for traveling. The flight pack 2 is better for daily use but you can fit a packing cube inside whereas this one can hold a bunch for traveling but it can still work ok for day to day. The travel pack 3 is coming out on monday and im really tempted to get the full sized version. I know you said you never had any issues with the full sized travel pack 2 on airlines but is it possible that some airlines will have issues with it or is it small enough that it can go in overhead storage?

Thank you for watching! Although there’s always a chance some airline will get extra sensitive about carry on allowance on a particular day, but with my experience so far using the travel pack 2 and some other larger travel backpacks on various airlines I think for the most part the bag will fit in overhead storage and shouldn’t have any issues. Thanks so much for this super detailed review! Gave me lots of insights to choose between the Herschel similar one, and this Aer Travel Pack 2 small. Also I waited a little more time to buy it, to be able to choose the navy color. Although I found it a little bit bigger than expected, and I'm 6 feet tall. But Ihaven't been able to fit everything inside just a backpack for 1-2 days business trips, just the way you show on your videos, so I travel with a backpack and a carry on suitcase. The amout of space and organization this bag provides is awesome. The cordura nylon provides a good frame which I like a lot. A little thing that's been bothering me, is that sometimes the zippers won't open that easy, they kind of get stuck for a little and I need to open them much more slowly, did it happen to you? Thanks again and cheers from México.

Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Glad to hear the bag has been working out well for you and I did have similar issues with the zippers at first. What would you pick between Aer Travel 2 Small and Oppose this invisible? Do they fit the same capacity? Thanks!
@dannypacks
@dannypacks 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and tough choice, both are great! The Aer is a little bigger so it will hold ever so slightly more and it has more organizational options but the Opposethis bag is going to be a little lighter and work a little better for edc (for my height at least) in my opinion. So if you prefer to use the bag for travel the Aer may be a little better but if you want more of an edc bag that you can use for trips the Opposethis will likely be a better option. Hello traveling Salseros, your reviews are great, very detailed, really well done keep it up. I would like to buy an EDC but I have a big confusion about these models Able Carry Max, Evergoods Civic Panel Loader (CPL28) V2, Aer Travel Pack 2 Small, they are all great and each have unique features, they have strengths and weaknesses, some are simpler in organization and in the way you store your accessories, even the materials these backpacks are made of are different even if they are all very resistant. A video comparison would be wonderful to highlight the differences between them, various everyday use cases, a suggestion on some accessories to integrate with them such as the Evergoods Civic Access Pouch 2 L or similar. I go a long way and having a very comfortable backpack is important, arriving at the office with a wet back is not beautiful and professional, I think this feature is important. I await your review with curiosity, if it were not possible I would very much like to know how to choose the right backpack for my needs, the alternative would be to buy all 3 backpacks but they cost too much to do the experiment that's why I need the your help ... come on please help me i think many would like this comparison :)
@dannypacks
@dannypacks 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice between those bags! It may be a bit before I can do a video comparison but I will try to offer my thoughts here on how the bags compare. Overall they are each great, as far as sizing the able carry max feels a little big for a daily bag for me and the cpl28 is right at the border. I think the comfort on the Aer and able carry is a little better than the Evergoods bag and will be able to prevent back sweat a little bit better. For organization I really like the layout of the Evergoods bag as the pockets have independent volume and there’s not too many just the right amount. For the materials the Aer and able carry feel like they will be a little more weather resistant and won’t attract as much dust or animal fur. So if I had to choose between these for a daily bag my first choice would probably be the travel pack 2 small, followed by the cpl28 and then the able carry max. If I was looking for a minimal travel bag than the order might change a bit. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)

Nice review. Just one think, I don't understand how is possible that this one is 28L and the Aer Tech Pack is only 18.5L even if they have the same dimension (the tech pack is only 0.5" less deep than this one)
@dannypacks
@dannypacks 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! and that's a great point, the tech pack's size has always been interesting to me because it feels pretty big but because of how the pockets are laid out and the fact that it has a plastic sheet in the middle to help it stand on its own it doesn't hold as much as it feels like it should. I think thats one of the main advantages of clamshell opening bags and ill have to double check but it feels like the Travel pack 2 small might be a little taller than the tech pack as well. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags =)

@dannypacks
@dannypacks 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! And that’s definitely a really tough choice, both are great! Haha As far as capacity and comfort I’d have to give a slight edge to the travel pack 2 as i feel like it can hold just a little bit more and the straps and back panel feel a little more padded. It is a little heavier but I think the additional padding and the ability to add a waist belt help even that out. With that being said I do think the opposethis bag is a little better for daily use. @dannypacks
@dannypacks 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and good questions! Both are great options, i think capacity wise they are pretty similar (topo bag might hold slightly more but it’s pretty close) and which is better for holding your stuff will really depend on your packing style. I do think the aer bag is more comfortable and it offers better weather resistance and as far as the profile, the aer bag sticks out more as it is deeper but it has a slimmer width whereas the topo bag doesn’t stick out as much but it is a lot wider and taller also.
