I look at it this way: if you wanted a window seat, you should have booked one. If you don't, that's your fault and don't try ro get someone to switch seats. The only ones who have the authority to change your seat would be the F/A. But some people are entitled, and think they should be able to bully someone into giving them what they want. I despise people like that.

@@willstrainsplanes I apologize. I should have been more specific. I wasn't criticising Paul. He ALWAYS prebooks his seat. I was criticising the Karen who couldn't be bothered to book her seat, and then had the cajones to try and manipulate Paul into switching seats. I really can't stand entitled Karens and Kevins who think all they have to do is snap their fingers and they'll be catered to. At least, when I fly I get the row to myself because I'm in a wheelchair, and my medical equipment can't be put in cargo. Then I don't have to hear that question. And no, I don't get charged for the whole row. The airlines take that kinda stuff into consideration....at least, Delta does. I refuse to fly American't or United!

What did I miss? She asked, he said no (essentially), she said fine, no problem (essentially). She wasn't rude or acting entitled, or trying to bully or manipulate him. She merely asked and there was no harm in asking. He declined (no harm in that either) and she accepted that. Maybe she is a class-A monster, but I didn't hear any evidence of that in this exchange.

I haven't flown since BC (before COVID) times, but it seems that airlines have been losing touch with the fact that they exist for the customer and not the shareholder. Though COVID is a concern, it feels like an overplayed hand on many levels. For example, it seems inexcusable to serve a lackluster box "meal" on a business-class fare. Thanks for letting me travel vicariously with you!

Flew a LOT Polish 737 Max WAW - LHR - WAW a couple of weeks back, first time on the plane. Thought it was very good - Economy class was very comfortable, the IFE worked fine on my daughter's mobile, and I was surprised at how quiet it was, even on take off. Enjoyed it very much. I also flew to Mexico a good 15 years or so ago for a month's work, and it was one of my worst travel experiences. The flight - a BA 747 - arrived within minutes of KLM, AF and LH 747s, so the Arrivals Hall and Security were absoltely heaving. It took a couple of hours to get through in sweltering heat. Police were going around checking people's passports and now and again pulling someone out of line and taking them to the front of the queue. I never did find out how many bucks you had to put in your passport to get that service.

I've lived near the Nexican border and have traveled once into the country for a weekend. Maybe it's because I lived so close to the border for all of those years, but Ive not had a desire to fly in or out of Mexico. However, I still enjoy watching your videos regardless of where you're flying. Airlines sure have changed since my first flight in 1958.

Sorry, Paul, but the Aeromexico lounge looked nice and appeared to have reasonable amount of open space. The AMEX lounge looked tighter and more full. I can only comment on what I see, but I throughly enjoy your videos.

Mexico City airport may be close to downtown but its generally a pain to get to. If you travel a lot in Central and South America 737s of any type are increasingly uncommon. There are some Boeing hold outs like COPA and AeroMexico but the region seems more and more Airbus country. On the food thats not uncommon in the region, but the rattle of the drinks cart often makes up for it. A crummy hot sandwich but the choice of five types of after dinner drinks isn’t unusual!

Having travelled numerous times through MEX, I agree with you in that MEX is a very crowded airport, especially in high season. Unfortunately MEX won't be getting an expansion. The government is now building a new airport 1 1/2 hours away at what is now (and will continue to be) Santa Lucia AFB... and that airport is not going to be much bigger. There was another site where a new airport was in the process of being built that would have been much bigger than MEX or Santa Lucia AFB, but that project was cancelled for political reasons.

😂 my fav Mexican snack “ Habanero chips “ as I was watching the video my daughter laughed saying ‘Mom did we leave this empty packet behind 🤣🤣🤣🤣. We have a cupboard full of these in our London kitchen and other Mexican goodies we bring home from every holiday. Your sandwich to be fair doesn’t look half as bad as what we got served recently on BA! (Cdmx to Heathrow and Cancun Heathrow Both in premium economy ➡️ shredded carrots sandwiched in 2 rice cakes 💭🤔I had ordered ‘ovo lacto vegetarian option meal’ online …tip of the iceberg as all the meals were a disgrace in fact I should make a video / instagram story to address these issues it is a 12 hour flight ✈️ after all and not cheap they should make an effort! When addressing this issue to the crue they seemed very well aware and laughed it off. Aero Mexico crue is exceptionally nice in my experiences but the planes are not always super clean or just look as they could do with a much needed interior renovation/ update unfortunately Love your channel Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧

I live in Mexico City and in terms of expanding that airport, they really can’t-they squeeze everything and more out of it they can. The government built a new airport about 15 north of the city (NLU) to accommodate additional flights, but MEX remains more popular given its more convenient location

We got downgraded from the MEX-CUN 787-9 to the 737 MAX due to 'operational reasons' which was a pain. Its not as grand as the 787-9 with flat bed and a whole lot more space(flew previously). I would say the 737 MAX business class is a decent 'premium economy seat'. They served a bag of nuts, with either water or orange juice as a drink. No alcohol was available. However the 787-9 Biz seat, they served rum or tequila which they had on tap (winter 2020). We got a seat sale MEX-CUN in biz for £87.00 each way. Sadly those prices will never be repeated again....unless an intern messes up the pricing. Anyone flying with AeroMexico out of Mexico City, irrespective of class of travel- arrive early. The queues are all verged into one big mess. There is no distinct biz class check in although the signs are there. Its a first come first and who can make the quickest eye contact with the check in clerk.
