I live in the desert so it can get up to 115 here. I’m assuming that I cannot use a plastic nozzle. I don’t really feel comfortable use plastics in such heat when it comes to food. You mentioned that using different materials for tubing and the nozzle could be an issue. Do you have any suggestions for which tubing materials could maintain the integrity of the entire system when using steel nozzles. And do you have a recommendation for steel nozzles?
@HighTechGardener2 жыл бұрын
Great point! However, most roots can't tolerate 115F. So there will be bigger issues with your plants. Maybe I can make a video on this.

Hey Mister Lee, I love your channel and I have learned a ton already. I was wondering if you could answer one question I had on one of the topics. In your video @5:39 you mention that if you have salts in your nutrient solution you should go for stainless steel nozzles instead of the plastic nozzles. What do you mean here with salts? Because in my understanding plant nutrition is always composed out of salts like kno3 or MgSO4 which after being brought in solution the plant can take up as K or Mg e.d. So do you mean another kind of salt or should you always go for stainless steel nozzles when you work with plant nutrition liquids? Kind regards, Emiel

I now recommend plastic. Certain concentrations can deform the nozzle orifice. Because the plastic is cheap, just replace them as needed. Thanks for asking

Any links? Maybe put in the description? You also cut out when you were taking about the pressure.... when you go up or down in pressure, within spec, does that increase or decrease droplet size?
@HighTechGardener4 жыл бұрын
Lower pressures produce larger droplet sizes. Thanks for asking

What about copper plated with nickel, these are the only ones I can seem to find here, the manufacturer says they should not have any issues, what is your feedback about it?
@HighTechGardener4 жыл бұрын
Sorry. I can't recommend those nozzles. Thanks for asking
@talhaasad69154 жыл бұрын
@@HighTechGardener Copper nickel plated have an addition pre filter before the nozzle, stainless steels ones do not, so I am kind of deciding between the 2, you'd recommend using the stainless steel ones without the filter?
@kalkanort93334 жыл бұрын
@ 5:00 i belive it's called electrolysis same reason you can't strap a copper pipe with a steel strap
@NastyAnubis2 жыл бұрын
Actually called "galvanic reaction". Stainless steel creates a weak electrical charge when contacting non ferrous metals like aluminum and copper. This is where the corrosion comes from. Never use a stainless bolt in an aluminum hole if you ever want to use that hole again. :)

Hi jtg The reason I didn't mention it because the manufacturer doesn't do direct sales. I'm in the process of finding a replacement that might be even cheaper. Here's the nozzle I used in the image: BETE UltiMist Spray Nozzle UML63M We'll take you garden into the future.
