Wazzup #UPK I use that exact setup except i am using the spectrum disposable lids and liners. What makes the Sigola better than the spectrum liners? Also, which nozzle did you use for the clear? I like the 1.3 for base coats, the 1.4 for 2k clear and the 1.7 for 2K high build primer.

Nice work. I decided to go with this spray gun because of this reviews I orginally order the spectrum hte and hvlp but since I'm only using a 20gal compressor with 4.0 cfm at 90psi I decided just to order this gun since working with small compressor. Spraying the primer with 1.7 tip with this gun what psi and setting would you recommend?

Your settings is really going to be determined by the primer you spray. You can start with what’s recommended by the manufacturer and make adjustments that work for you and you can start at full fan and fluid and dial it in as needed

Depending on what you’re spraying, it could range from 20-30psi to create the results you’re looking for with the material you’re spraying

Yes it’s dust particles that could be floating around while you’re spraying. To avoid going through this is to clean thoroughly, you can wet the floor to trap dust and dirt on the ground that might loosen up while you’re spraying, and you can use a tack cloth in between your base coat and hopefully doing so will help with keeping dust off the panels but it’s possible to still happen

Why don’t you have to apply adhesion promoter to raw fiberglass, rather than raw plastic? I like asking you questions because you give me a direct answer and know what you’re talking about lol

You can put a good scratch on the fiberglass for the material to adhere to where as raw plastic is usually a light scratch and the adhesion promoter helps the material adhere better but it won’t hurt if you use adhesion promoter on fiberglass that I know of

Hi UPK, Thanks for the video! I have a question. Let's say you have an entire car to paint. You put the base down over the car then before the clear you notice all the dust nibs. Does one sand the entire car with 800 or just the nibs? Clean all the sanding dust then coat with base again. But won't the dust come back again? Like a dog chancing its tail. Where does one stop? Or just put the clear down and sand and polish at the end as without a booth your just not going to eliminate dust. Thanks!!

You could just do the dirt nibs or the entire vehicle and go through the cleaning and tack process before laying down the base and you shouldn’t have to be aggressive when de-nibbing so it shouldn’t be a lot of dust being created, just smoothing out the surface Danno, hope that helps!

Is that left over double sided tape from the emblem that you painted over? Wouldn't it be best to remove it before going through the trouble of repainting the fender. Perhaps it wasn't in the budget. The finish look great, but the emblem does bother me.

Beautiful finish there Mr Paint King you wouldn't get a better finish if you was doing it in a high end booth, yeah there would probably be less dirt nibs but that will soon buff out👌 I've tried a few different PPS systems including a couple of cheap ones from China but I don't like them ones as the liners are to stiff so they don't collapse properly reducing your paint flow, I'm sticking with the Pro-Coat ones that I told you about on your Instagram page they are made here in the UK and work just as good as the 3M ones but at around half the price😎🙏👍John UK

Yeah it's a shame that the cheaper ones aren't better but I suppose you get what you pay for, I still have 100 lids and liners left but they will be fine for primer. I think I gave you the contact details for the Pro-Coat ones but let me know if you need it again, I'm not sure if you get them that they will be any cheaper once you pay for postage and any taxes but it's worth asking👍

hey, little tip that helps with the trash, if you wet the floor around the car before spraying, either with a hose or spray water on, or even mop it, then the dust sticks to that and youre not kicking it all up in the air when spraying.
