Years go by so fast. Most of those members of 1970s bands that are still living are as you say in their mid 70s now and some even older. Some such as Steve Miller and Mick Fleetwood as well as the Rolling Stones are now in their 80s (ex-Stone Bill Wyman will be 88 this year) It was a great ride and we still have the music to listen to.

From Sept 1971 to 1972 I was lucky enough to live in the apartment above theirs at 1325 Comm Ave. Back then they were as poor as I was but their lifestyle was still so cool to 18 year old me. Some great smoke clouds rolled from out of their living room windows and into ours. They had also passed through our apartment several times to use the fire escape to get into their place. Took my wife to see them for her first time in 1974 at a hockey arena. Paid $10 for two tickets. We took our daughter to see them on their Pump tour with the Black Crows and again with my grandson in September 2022. So sad that this will be their last tour. They will be missed!

@@sameold5050 If you haven't already, you should listen to, 1971: The Road Starts Hear. It was recorded in the time just prior to them signing their Columbia Record deal. When I heard the intro track, the banter going on in the background brought me back to hearing them while sitting at my kitchen table. There is a roughness to the music I actually like and it remains one of my favorite albums. Aerosmith before the polish!

High pitch notes and screaming so good for a long time can definitely cause problems to the vocal chords. Steven Tyler is a great front man. If this is the end, he has given a lot to the rock world. He has to take care of his health. Thanks Aerosmith for rockin' great. 🎸

This is regrettable news; been an Aerosmith fan since their inceptiion, but Tyler must preserve his health - that goes beyond any vanity - & I'd rather know he's in good shape than make an unrealistic expectation that would coerce him to perform unnecessarily. Missed you Steven over in Lititz at Bomberger's Store. I have admired your music for decades. I was raising a daughter who is now 37. She still looks back and says, "Dad, I miss the days back in the trailer." We had Aerosmith, Full House, each other and food on the table. She misses those days. For me, however, its been you guys since the mid seventies. 1st run of Aerosmith's Greatest Hits. You guys had a good run. As, I as well, 39 years in the Toolmaking industry. First saw Aerosmith in 1975, about three weeks after "Toys In The Attic" hit the shelves. Seen them a total of ten times since, all the possible ways, with Brad Whitford, but no Joe Perry, without both Brad and Joe, their infamous "reunion" show in Lynn, Mass, and the for the last last time in September of 2001. The original date of 9/13 being rescheduled for obvious reasons. I kept going back for more, because I couldn't get enough. Have a great retirement boys, you've earned it.

It's sad that another real rock band is gonna be done. But Aerosmith been going down with the new stuffs they released pass years they were great in the 70's and 80's. After the album Pump they started slowly to loose theire grip on good rock songs. But hey Aerosmith deserve to be in the best 🤘
