I have to say I agree with all of the points made here and they are very true. I would love to help you guys out once my project is ready. I’m working with a team I’m putting together. I looked to advance additive manufacturing in all aspects, to build future structures, vehicles, craft and devices with great efficiency and speed. I’ll let you guys know how that goes once it’s been all worked out.

I truly believe that for a long time humanity needs something to give a horizon for the future, space seems to me the right direction, For years I have been dreaming of setting up a space mining company, precisely because it will be possible to profit from it and finance oneself,But the reality of life is that I am a person without means, and without knowledge to create this dream, but that is in my opinion a good start.

You can't help anything or anyone if you're falling apart, or if you're unable to help yourself. A good soldier's first job is to survive so they can fight. And you go from there. Make decisions and move on.

Would be awesome if you guys could do a podcast collaboration or interview with Jeremy Rys from Alien Scientist/Hover Brothers. His team is also fascinated with the prospect of anti gravity research. You guys are my favorite science channels

There are still things in our own world we don't understand. Uncharted waters in our oceans, understanding how gravity works,,,

So, looking into the idea of using something related to the chronon, if it exists, as I understand it, the value of a chronon is the length of time that light takes to traverse the distance of the circumfrence of the classical electron. It has been said that J.J. Thomson, 100 years ago ("The intermittence of electric force"), noticed that an intense electrical field acts in a discontinuous way, producing finite increments of momentum separated by finite intervals of time, and that seems to equal the value of the chronon. So is this a possible effect of the electrical permittivity of free space. If a sufficently powerful electrical field (near the maximum saturation of free space), then modulate it at a lower frequency (audio) may have an effect on the local permittivity of free space and cause a distortion the localised spacetime, and value of speed of light. If this distortion can be asymmetrically applied then a motive force can possibly be generated. Of course, as always, the ammount of power required is the issue.

Yes finally!!!! BTW your space suit design sounds a lot like a still suit from Dune but pressurized

It really does doesn't it? I also look forward to their Mr. Fusion portable fusion reactor. I'd love to one day use it to power a suit of power armor or my homestead out on an alien planet.

My biggest hope and dream is to take my engineering passion into space designing space habitats and megastructures like space elevators, Dyson swarms, arcologies, and a wormhole nexus.

Enjoyed you podcasts this is my first comment interesting concept we need a new advanced spacecraft to replace the space shuttle reusable without the shuttles problems would like to see in my lifetime to see us go to proximi Centauri 4.23 light years away maybe send a space probe proximi Centauri and/or Alpha Centauri (A, B) 4.37 light year away such a probe a Subspace Radiocommunications systems transmitting though Hyperspace (referring to your 1st podcast ) a warp drive travelling at Superluminal speed should give off unique signature when entering hyperspace maybe we might uses this to track or detect a space craft ? some sort of photonic boom(flash) I am interested in FTL or the possibility of it but to obtain FTL Travel would require a plan. You use this probe or others before it to plot pathfinder to FTL. I hope this posting might inspire some one to come some great ideas.

Our rate of innovation is stifled in a large part by our economic model. If we didn't have to think about bottom-lines and top-lines, we would be a more highly advanced civilisation. On an equally tangential level, the number of different cultures on the planet and what is important to each one, doesn't aid in achieving a focused, collective approach to advancing the human race.

"Kicks us in the derry-aire" Wow ive only ever heard my mum and great aunt refer to a persons rear like that. And never heard anyone else say that even here! Thats Northern Ireland btw and i havent heard that term in years either. Its definitely from a past generation, i would imagine that even kids here wouldnt know the term. Language kind of fascinates me. I had no idea that that term was used even outside of my local town, ive never heard it anywhere else

Commercialization is a good thing and shouldnt be thought of negatively. It just means something is self funding and can survive off voluntary interaction. I dont think anyone hates a restaurant or cafe for providing them food. Yet thats a double profit exchange. You value their food more than you value your money. And they value your money more than they value their food. Now imagine you took that direct exchane away from that process. If they got taxpayers money no matter what then winning your custom may no longer be important to them. Providing you good food you value is no longer necessary for their survival and you can bet your ass that many restaurants will drop the quality if their food. The wait staff may now have different motications, having customers turn up no longer matters, and treating them well means more work! If they treat everyone so bad they never return the wait staff now get a whoke day to themselves, and if you dont bare the cost of food then maybe you wont care if they serve you tinned or microwave food. Point being voluntary exchange creates resource efficiency, and drives reasons to advance (better cars, better phones) products. The Soviets had no reason to give people better cars, better tractors etc, and you ended up getting tractors rusting in fields while people starved

Commercialization? A good thing? To truly venture into space we need to collectively, as a species must invent a novel new economic system that isn't cruel, exploitative, or inherently divorced from morality as capitalism.

Were not as advanced as we should be. Until everybody gets passed the political drama and every other hangup, we can't move forward and advance.

What would power such an aerospace craft? And please don't tell me a compact nuclear reactor. The last thing I want is a potentially deadly weapon of mass destruction flying over my head on a daily basis
@masonman_21134 жыл бұрын
Not all fission reactors are bombs but I would still be concerned about about the nuclear fuel leaking into the environment after a crash
