With the legendary modul it is really more agile than some destroyers. But I am not sure if he meant this or the Gearing. Because the Gearing also a good destroyer. Great consealment with the legendary module, 16,5km torps and long smoke. AA is ok with DefAA and the guns are also OK. There are not so much other DD than can outgun her and you have the advantage of outspotting other DD.

Shimakaze with the buffed legendary mod is actually not bad. About one & a half minute reload on that insane 15x 24kdmg torpedo is pretty crazy. I had an epicenter game where I stayed in the center and just wrecked everything around me thanks to the fast reload. But of course Halland is more optimized for the current meta with a lot of planes and random damage.

@@cobrazax i have both, for me the real thing is Halland's AA and heal over Shima. Also her guns. About the torps i use F3s with legendary reload module, so Halland does not reload any faster, especially not WAY faster. They are also fast, have the +5 knot torp speed module. And have 3 launchers. Now if a BB eats a full salvo of these, she does not ask for more, unlike Halland's fish. I like Halland for the forementioned reasons, but she still lacks the punch Shima has.

Its kinda telling how the newer DD classes all had to have something innate to their kit to let them function under constant CV matches, RN DDs had the quick reload smokes and heal so they can smoke up whenever and arent as worried about getting neutered by rockets, and now the europeans have the best AA in the game for some reason.

Not rly... I still enjoy my Grozo but she did suffer from the AA systems change. Grozo is not a strong gunboat or a strong torp boat but a mix of the two. And she is fast. Shima, Gearing and that poor child Z are power crept hard. The new USSR DD will be a ''new'' Grozo btw.

dominges first, the new Russian dd is meant as a new Khabarovsk not Grozovoi. Also, Grozovoi is a better gunboat than Halland which makes it more useful in dd vs dd fights. I think what MyArtur16 meant tho is that Grozovoi used to be the best AA dd and it definitely ain’t no more.

And no, the new DD sure as hell won't be the ''new'' Khaba, that concept is dead, long dead. The new Khaba is the t10 French DD... That 50mm plate that you all see and think ''hmm a new Khaba'' won't eat AP as the Khaba plate. It will be just like the Grozo but with better gun range and different torps. You can see this copy pasta all over WG ships like... Pommern for example. DM and Salem and etc.

dominges first, never said Grozovoi was a gunboat, said it was a better gunboat than Halland, which is true. Also, the reason people are calling de DDR-10 the new Khabarovsk is some think it will replace the Khabarovsk in the tech tree. Never said it would be good, or that it will replace Kléber. Also, the new ship is the same class as Tashkent and it definitely is not more similar to Grozovoi. The 50mm plate on it get hit by AP the same as Khabarovsk tho it doesn’t take the full bb pens.

I would like to correct you Aerroon. Halland don't shoot down planes, she deletes them! :D Also, 15km torps plus RPF and experience to know where the radar ships camp on avr is a LULs combo :D :D :D But she is not perfect... It would be nice if she could do 42-45kts speed, she is very slow for a DD and that kills her in the hands of the weekend ''players''. Also, to maximize your AA nightmare, turn off your AA and only activate it when the planes spot you. This will make the CV player cry in his sleep :D It goes like that ''POOOOF the magic Dragon (flak) - Where are the PLANES?!?'' :D :D :D I even made several CVs rage quit by just standing to them :D

Halland has more he dpm than Z-52, shima, yueyang, gearing, khaba, and kleber without reload booster. She is just shy of Harugumos dpm, but unlike haru, she also has extremely good torps and has manuverability actually comparable with dds

Having played and fought against the Halland many times, it isn't a strong DD at all. You can spot the torps a mile away which makes them easy to dodge in even the slowest BB's, and even if you eat a few torps, the damage is so insignificant that you hardly notice the HP lose. The Halland's low DPM makes it a very weak DD, it is poor at Capping and it's not going to win matches. It's good at pushing ship's away from caps, but the lack of smoke, low speed and average maneuverability means it can't carry matches and it can't take on other DD's. A Daring, Gearing, Kleber, Harugumo, Kita, Friesland etc, eat the Halland for breakfast. The Halland is a one trick pony and that trick is not even that good. I took on two Halland's in a Daring and deleted both. Not sure why you think the guns are great, they are close to the worst of all the Tier 10 DD's. The AP on the Halland is awful, go and compare the AP to the Daring, Kleber or Haru. Have you been able to citadel any CL's in the Halland? The Smalland is a better platform, much better DPM. I have had matches in the Halland where I made 26 torp hits for zero kills and the team lost by a lot. If I had hit half the torps in nearly any other T10 DD, I would have had 3-5 kills and swung the match.
