man i've seen a lot of aesop reactions on here and they're always interesting to watch but what sets your reactions apart is that the music seems to click with you IMMEDIATELY. like you seem genuinely curious and excited to hear what's coming next, when others just seem lost/confused. as a huge aesop fan it's so dope to see that, it reminds me of how i felt when i first started listening to his music. i appreciate the genuine reactions & attempt to understand the art on a more human/creative level rather than just saying a track was fire or that you didn't fuck with it. the eyedea reactions are great too. anyway love what you're doing here & hope you continue to react to more of aes's stuff & other wordsmiths as well. a couple tracks for you to check out and possibly react to if you have the time, from two of my favorite lyricists out there: deca - breadcrumbs / skyward, zeroh - barkpench / mothaluva. peace.

Bro I'm so glad you checked this out! Being iffy is okay - anyone getting into Aesop's world a second time confident might get blindsided. On the missing thing, on the process of making this album, he left New York to live in a barn. So he's just playing on his disappearing act! New song requests: Sage Francis - Escape Artist, Underground for Dummies. Sage Francis was in the battle rap scene, is a KILLER lyricist, can freestyle with the best of them. Murs - Meloncholy. This is his newer stuff which I enjoy a lot. Brother Ali - anything by him. Theres a quick battle rap between him and sage Francis which is pretty dope! Happy New Year man! 2019 is ours!

Darn that Y(why) tube. That was fun to watch you react to my favorite musical artist ever. Aesop rock in my ears from age 15 to 27... darn, again , it's been a long while of aesop for me. The cut off was pretty awesome, you having a slight look of panic upon seeing that creature walking toward wolf man mask, and then clicking the mouse and it ends. Don't worry - I think we all feel that way - I used to be deep in the underground scene, and even I used to kinda just look at Aesop quixotically - I thought he was too self-centered, too narcissistic, and made overly complex lyrics, that had too much to unpack to be enjoyable to listen to - I wasn't willing to put in the time and energy, cuz there was a lot of other good hip hop I was enjoying and still discovering - but I'm kinda checkin out the scene again, to see what's happened these last 8-10 yrs, and I'm glad to see these guys are still doing it, and Aesop is def one of the most interesting to check out now - I'm more of an Atmosphere and Blackalicious and Binary Star and Living Legends et al fan, never the biggest Def Jux fan, but to see what Aesop has done the last 10 yrs, tbh, it's super impressive - kinda justifies my decision back in the 2000s, cuz now he's got more catalogue, and you can appreciate the best 1-2 songs from each album, and still have 10-12 songs to bump - with his style, the songs that work, really fuckin work - they're accessible enough to get into, and then trying to pick up the different pieces, as you listen, it's just really fuckin enjoyable to do - especially when the production hits just right - the fans of these kinds of acts tend to be so fucking dope, I can't even imagine what Aesop's relationship must be like with his fans at this point - can you imagine doin all the lyrics to some of these songs with a bunch of other people live? Like 20+ yrs in? And these dudes are still in it. I love how Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Evidence and Aesop have really formed this roster. It's cohesive. Wasn't like that wheb I was in the scene. It was starting. But now, 10+ yrs of it? It's like, that's a thing. That's a transformation. They like vultron now. And let's be real, that lineup murders any other label. Not even close. Would love to see label battles. Not battle rapping. Just set vs set. Imagine bringing some competition. Rhymesayers vs TDE. Or Living Legends. Or Def Jux. Or Quannum. Shit would be dope.

Aesop Rock is literally the most wordy author in existence. His early published work was compared to countless artist and authors and he sits far above the rest. (They looked at the unique words published by all of these people.) I recommend watching a video or two about it. Truly impressive
