they confirmed there is no speed up cards, though you can start your engine then go to 2 by dealing damage same turn.

I’ve been building vnwxt since I saw it and it’s pretty darn fun. Get about 14+ evasive 1 or 2 drops with emphasis on drawing when dealing damage, stack auras that draw on damage (eg curiosity) and enchants that draw when any creature does damage (eg coastal piracy), and place a few “draw all the cards” wincons (20-toed toad, the one Jace, etc) and fill with mono blue good stuff. Hyper aggressive but pretty fun when your army of 1/1 flyers draws out your deck

Biggest gripe is why the hell do we need a 5 mana 8/8 with trample... thats bananas without even mentioning the cycle ability.

I thought Max Speed was another dungeon or ring like thing where the effect was on some random token that wasn't on board. Seeing it is actually variable on the cards themselves that you're playing, that's much better. I'm into that. Don't like the flavour of the set, but this mechanic is the least bad dungeon style thing they've done so far...

Kind of weird they mad either a "Plansewalker Equipment" yet has nothing to do with Plansewalkers? Idk seems stupid like most of this set. A few cards I'd throw in decks like Bello but nothing exciting here. Def will be skipping this and saving for Tarkir

I know content creators don't really have a choice, they need to hype the set because the game is their livelyhood... but you can tell from the lack of excitement here that this set is a massive miss. The set mechanic itself is boring, the variant arts are ugly. No joke, I thought half of them were troll posts when I saw them. Magic used to be about fantasy, now it's about different kinds of hats. We got the cowboy hats. We got the detective hats. We got the driver hats. It's just lazy. Instead of big cool stories we get a spin-the-wheel kind of originality. I don't think the game is dying or anything like that, but Tarkir better hit real good... It doesn't help that good sets are smooched between nonsense like Speed Racer and Universe Beyond.

The aetherspark is not op. Its actually just quite bad. Since it can only equip by plussing you wont ever be able to actually use the other abilities if they just kill your guys.

It gets loyalty counters from attacks. Slap it on a hexproof voltron and you can get tonnes of mana. Its probably not super busted but it seems like it has its uses.
