Well, according to the Legends of Kaldheim article, Vorinclex was reduced to mere bones and metal bits upon arriving (though it's not explained how, this seems to imply Tezzeret Planar-Bridging him over), and being a useless pile of stuff in a cave. That is, until an elk waddled close enough for the remains to absorb its flesh and form the organic bits of Vorinclex and allow him to go out for a stroll. I imagine the other phyrexians don't have quite as good of an elk-absorbing regeneration ability, and might therefore still be plane-locked.

The effects of the Bridge and of a PW carring you with him while moving between planes are the same. The Bridge is "just" useful to trasport massive amount of stuff and without a PW avaliable.

Both the PW and the Bridge have exactly the same limitation, the Blind Eternity demolish organic matter, PW are the "odd ones" as their Spark protects them from this. Everything they carry with them during their journey will suffer the same fate (and honestly I find weird it isn't used more often...like grab a foe and Jump). Returning to the point, both the Bridge and a PW carrying the Preator would result in the same outcome, the organic part of the preator almost totally ruined and the poor soul having to re-build his body

I did some searching around and found an interesting piece of lore: Tezzeret infiltrated phyrexian society on mirrodin while under bolas' control. The praetors are most likely compleated beings and thus fulfill the requirements for going through the planar bridge in Tezzeret's body, to be made of inorganic material. Call it a hunch, but I think Tezzeret is working with Elesh Norn to spread the praetors across the multiverse, in an attempt to create new homes for the new phyrexians. As for the other praetors, I think gin-gitaxius is going to show up in strixhaven while sheoldred and urabrask are going to show up on innistrad.

@@adammohammed2185 In fact Sheoldred might be alive, there is a reason why she has the title of praetor and not the other the Seven Steel Thanes. Her natural charisma can allow her to manipulate almost everyone she talks to and her strategy always being at the background unnoticed as she does her schemes while everyone fights each other until the last one stands and she just pops out of nowhere and claim the kill. Urabrask however is more likely to be dead because of these reasons: 1. He is constantly mocked as the weakest of the praetors despite being the most dangerous of the five, this means he has poor connections with the other praetors. 2. To describe his personality in one meme, it would be "My goals are beyond your understanding". See this is what makes him dangerous aside from his natural speed and stealth expertise, his impulsive actions One minute he's helping you but then a split second later he gouges your eyes out and this will extend to point 3. 3. He has a long history of allowing the mirridian resistance in foiling the praetor's plans, his own included. So with all these points they pretty much have a good reason to kill Urabrask and if he somehow survived he has a giant target on his head, making him a "kill on sight" type of fellow. As for Sheoldred she would have probably faked her death so she can start sabotaging them from the inside out. But I'd like to hear what you think and do tell me if I had and misconceptions or errors.

@@somerandomdude3729 I didnt know those details about the red Praetor. Sheoldred seemed straight forward if she were to be alive, though the reason why I really care that she is not confirmd dead means I can get another card of Sheoldred. She is likely waiting for when Norn is weakest or distracted. Though with the other 2 there, Jin and Vorinclex, itd be like B going up against bant. I just hope cultural or political influences do not lead to bad story development for these characters.

On the article about the legends of kaldheim, vorinclex was transported to kaldheim by an unknown means, but the process eradicated his organic components. His new organic components were from animals that he killed. If I had to guess, vorinclex used the planar bridge to get to Kaldheim

Maybe this would finally explain what Tezzeret gained from going to New Phyrexia in the first place

I recall that in the original Mirrodin story it was revealed that the entire plane of 'Argentum' built by Karn had the capability of planeswalking itself into other planes (using the technology developed by Yawgmoth during the Invasion) latter on Scars of Mirrodin and Mirroding Besieged it was hinted that the Phyrexians seeked the "Miracore" an object that would allow them to use the 'full potential' of the machinery world on wich they lived in. With that info it is obvious to me that the praetors found the Miracore and have been opening portals to other worlds and initiate a new Invasion.

Thoughts: Vorinclex was after the sap of the world tree, was able to be ported somewhere to gather a very specific resource, and was able to succeed in also making a few stray compleated organisms on Kaldheim. Kaldheim would be a lesser in the over all "priority list" due to the actual lack of artificial life. Whatever would be grabbed would be utilized for Phyrexian innovation. What are some good assumptions of what would happen if sap of the world tree would be mixed with Phyrexian oil? What may be some applications for use of a planar bridge with the sap of the world tree? With Mirrodin having essentially fallen, would Tezzeret give up information on another quasi-artificial place (such as his home, Esper) to Phryexians? If Vorinclex was "ported" somewhere and all of the fleshy bits were eliminated that really sounds like something a Phyrexian mind would admire. Tezzeret, so far, is prime suspect and most of this stuff feels "in line" with the previous lore that he would either somehow donate or have the tech for the planar portal stolen. If Tezzeret is _working with_ the Phyrexians for whatever reason I really do think the next place they'll pop up is Esper. Or...worse...Kaladesh, another plane visited by Tezzeret that had a high level of artificial creations that rival, if not exceed entirely, those created by Esper.

I've been of the opinion that Tibalt wasn't responsible for Vorinclex's presence on Kaldheim ever since his entry in the Legends of Kaldheim article. We've known for a while that organic flesh cannot survive passing through the Blind Eternities without the protection of a Spark, and the Praetor was explicitly noted to have arrived as a pile of metal and bone and needing to "rebuild" himself afterward. The Sword of the Realms, on the other hand, seems to function by bridging the gap between spaces, thereby protecting those passing through its portals from the mental ravages of the Cosmos. As such, I think that if it can take one to other planes, it'd likely provide at least some protection against the Blind Eternities' effects. Incidentally, I think the fact that this is only just now coming up may mean that Bolas has never been to Kaldheim, or at least didn't hang around long enough to learn of its secrets. Guess his nature as an overgrown lizard made it so that he couldn't handle the immense cold?

I am really enjoying this story. Kaya wants to prove she is a hero not just some mercenary and Tibalt wants to show he is a big deal evil guy. I think Tibalt’s motivation is pretty clear, he wants to be the big bad, the ruiner of worlds and slayer of heroes. This manifesto, is to give him credit not Vorinclex. It makes sense that he team up with the praetor since vorinclex acts as a doubling season for him (something he neglects to mention). It basically makes Tibalt twice as effective but he doesn’t mention it because he wants all the credit.

As far as I know they are not, Karn was corrupted buy it to the point where his spark was suppressed and when tezzeret was sent to new phyrexia, he was given something to resist the effects of the glistening oil

@@jettledesma561 Karn lost his spark during the events of Time Spiral block, but he was able to use the Weatherlight’s plane shifting capability (since he had the engine inside his body) to keep planeswalking to close rifts. Since he no longer had his spark, though, the oil from Xanctha’s heartstone finally started corrupting him and he fled to Mirrodin.

Being a ferocious beastial fighter doesn't mean vorinclex is dumb. He has a big, bulky monster of a body and that will be his best way of using it. Considering how he manipulated and locked tibalt to his ambitions shows just how smart he is. Not to mention he's one of the 4 preators, in command of the green legions of phyrexia and probably hand chosen by Elesh Norn to be the first phyrexian to travel across planes.

I think he (it?) isn’t eligible for a spark. Sparks are in mortal creatures with souls and the process of becoming a phyrexian is kind of a similar thing to being a zombie where the creature dies and comes back soulless. Also, some speculation in the lore that a spark renders immunity to being corrupted and/or reverses the process.

Phyrexians can’t have sparks, they have however in the past figured out how to travel between planes without need of a spark, which is likely what’s happening here. Vor was probably sent as a scout to prepare this new plane for the glory of New Phyrexia
