Looks awesome but those 7” lights, paired with that thick winch guard is going to block a ton of air to the rad. That would be my concern anyhow.

This specific question has been addressed directly by AEV - "From your pictures, it looks like the center hoop, lights and winch block off too much airflow to the grille, is this something I have to worry about? No. We spent years (literally) developing and testing this bumper in a variety of ways and conditions to make sure this bumper would perform well and without compromise BEFORE it made it on the front of any customer owned vehicles. Looks good. I am reconsidering a bumper that mounts up high after my latest recovery situation. Lots of muds, leaves, lack of visibility of the spool, and basically not possible to respool due to lack of access. I’m getting a top mount style bumper this time with a low hoop maybe…just in case of winch failure to tie the line off to.

I would be concerned about the airflow especially since I have the gladiator ecodiesel and their already seems to be issues with them running hot pulling hills or towing. It does look nice though.

One question! What are those 7 Slots in the Jeep Grill for? You talk about the Bumper allowing the Winch to be mounted low so air flow to the grill would be unobstructed. But you then add all that unnecessary items to do what, Obstruct Air Flow.

I just don't understand you guys talking about the air flow. Air does not move in only one direction...it is all around. I would love them to do a test on a hot day with a bumper and winch and lights (Not this one because it is so over priced) and a jeep with nothing in front of the grill. I am positive you would not see a differecne in the temp gauge!

@@LarryRichelli Really now, talking about doing a test, so how about you doing a test on (obstructing air flow). On a Hot Day, you stand about 5 feet in front of a Fan. Then have someone stand between you and the fan. Then come back and explain your findings on Obstructing Air Flow.

I have this bumper on my 2022 Rubicon and love it. Question. Do you have a solution for flat towing as the recovery eyelets are tucked down so low under the bumper, you can't fit a tow bar on there without interference. Thanks, mg

Mopar bumper, hidden warn winch and no massive lights in the front of my grill. Air flow (fluid dynamics) and the ecodiesel need to be considered. Even big 7” or 9” off road lights cause disruption to the grill. Remember how bug deflectors work? Yeah well here you go…..

Great bumper, but how can this be loosened with the winch so I can take the grill off to remove the headlights and replace them. NO way to get it off without the bumper and winch off.

Everyone bitchin about airflow. I run this same setup on my JK with the AEV Premium front bumper, the 9" lights and a Warn Zeon Synthetic in Texas when temps are over a 100 degrees for almost 5 years now. Temp gauge has never moved off the factory mark. Maybe not this new one, but AEV has thousands of the older style which is similar to this one on Jeeps. If it was an issue, they wouldn't still be selling them.

Any issues with coolant temps with that RX bumper? I've had cooling issues with OEM bull bar, seems like all those lights and oversized bull bar would cause problems

That bumper looks good but it also looks like junk that will bend and brake the first time you ding anything rocks trees branches deers Plastics on that type of bumper is just stupid. Those are supposed to be designed to carry the winch and take a beating from hitting things. That thing will wrinkle like a cheap suit. But it’s pretty.
