I am a MSc Architect from Europe. This is a good representation of the steps of a building but not professional. There are so many missing details and steps. Also some mistakes. Don't take it seriously please, just watch it to learn the logic of a building. I am making this warning because, we need to build our houses very carefully with close to zero waste. Just for a better civilization overall.
Ай бұрын
I agree! I’m from Europe too and a former architect student. The visualisation is good but, where I live we also need insulation. And I don’t really understand the purpose of filling out the space between the concrete pillars with bricks. Insulation and plaster/wood would be enough.

at 7:29 you made a mistake columns should never be layed after brick work, in case if column is casted after brick work than the brick work becomes the part of column and starts to bear load and withtime develops cracks, so always column should be casted first and after removing shuttering the brick work should be completed, if you have some columns yet to be casted and the brick work has already begun than avoid brick work adjacent to column to avoid any load bearing connection b/w wall and column, until you believe your walls are load bearing walls and can bear load quite easily. Anyways really a informative and detailed video, good to created curiosity in new aspirants .. looking to make carrier in construction.

Very interesting. I live in Michigan and I am in my first house I bought which was built about five years ago-I can say without a doubt not much cement was used, only for the foundation in the basement, no bricks either. A lot of wood, studs, plywood, I think that was it and insulation due to the four seasons, and no septic tank as the plumbing is connected to the sewer. Buying a house was a huge commitment for me. I wish I had an interest in this when I was a kid.
@Jonathan-dj3yb11 ай бұрын
I built my own house for under $20k. Stone brick foundation, free pallet wood from Facebook marketplace, free nails from all of the pallets, and I salvaged an old free mobile home someone wanted off their land. Got free vinyl sidings and roofing, free windows and doors, free bathtub sinks etc, and I used cheap ass vinyl boards for the flooring and for hiding the wooden pallet wood on the walls. 75% of what it cost me to build my house came from land, foundation, and installing electricity/water. I used fiberglass insulation cause it's cheap AF and gets the job done. 32 x 16 ft 1 bedroom 1 bathroom house with a loft.

Your house is made in american way, this is how We build in Europe, just with much more massive wood beams for the roof, those with more money are using white porobeton blocks, soundproof, earthquake proof, they isolate both from cold and heat, and they breath, it creates passive house without condensation, no air wentilation needed, minimal heating in winter, and also white sealing is made that way, american houses are nice looking but they are from weak matherials.

Very interesting. A lot of effort were put here. One little observation at 3:07: Horizontal reinforcement bars in foundation beams are positioned like in the "standard" beams. They should be "mirrored" since there is a reactional force from the ground which has an upward direction, contrary to "standard" beams which are subjected to downward force.

Many details are missing. The house lacks windows and doors, as well as an entrance. The process is incomplete, with many details left unaddressed. The foundations were not insulated, and the electrical wires needed to be extended before pouring the first floor. Additionally, the ladder is at risk of breaking due to the side beams being absent. Insulation was not addressed at all, particularly for the bathrooms, toilets, and ground floor. The roof is too light, using only metal panels without insulation or reinforcement, making the space noisy uncomfortable in the face of air and rain. Before the final painting, the electricity wires had to be extended in the wall. And lighting outlets must be set first. the video is good for understanding the process for unprofessionals .. hope to see an improved version of the video considering all missing process. Thank you

Not really , the columns should be concreted after all the bricks are in place , so the every other brick will be hook inside the column ,the tie beams should be hooked with the columns and bent , that is why is call a tie beam , the corner columns should be in angle like an L , never cut the steel bars from the foundations at the same high the four or six should be in different length so the column will be more resistant .how do I know this ? my house was built this way and had been going trough a few 8 degrees earthquakes , few 7 , lots of 5 and 6 and a about 8 thousand minor earthquakes a year and it doesn't even have cracks in the paint
