Is there a reason for the rotation to not be Shadow Bolt to open with 5% Crit, THEN HAUNT to apply 20% more DoT damage, and then UA, Curse, and Corruption? Aren't you missing out on 20% more DoT Dmg when you apply UA/Curse/Corruption before Haunt?

(3 minutes cooldown) edit: also 1% periodic damage on your spellstone is likely better than 1% crit on the firestone, forgot about that

The staff shouldnt be bis. crafted titansteel blade+ crafted offhand is 93 Krit in total :) and another huge point for the crafted offhand / dagger is the Spellblade got hit on it, so if u have hit on ur mace/offhand in ur normal setup, u 90%dont fall under ur hitcap with snapgear :)

So if I use a weapon with less crit than my actual one to snapshot and change back to my real weapon, will the increased spellpower from my actual weapon applied to my corruption ticks? If that's not the case, is it actually worth snapshotting for more crit but less spell power? I don't rly get that part.

Yeah I agree great guide!!! Ive been practicing snapshotting myself and i didnt think about weapon swapping etc. So when you switch back to your normal weapons does the spellstone, haste etc still affect the corruption you had just placed or is it just to increase the dps of your normal rotation? Also how about drain soul? Any suggestions for that? Ive seen some crazy numbers that i cant seem to get again :/ lol

So when you start the fight, youll be using a high crit weapon with a firestone to add further crit to the weapon, and then once the sbapshot is performed, youll switch back to your main weapon that will have a spellstone applied. The stones apply to the weapon(s) themselves, not the player, so when you cast a corruption it benefits from the firestone since it was applied to a secondary weapon.

When is it worth to weapon swap? I feel If I have a BIS weapon, dropping it for half a duration of my opener plus losing half a GCD seems it might not even be worth to swap. How do you know if it is worth or not? Also thoughts on enchanting Black Magic over Accuracy? Since you are already using the weapon long enough for it to proc, and the buff does not drop after weapon swapping. Or does it just destroy the whole purpose of weapon swapping if you don't enchant Accuracy?

i dont get how snapshotting works with +dmg procs like dying curse or the tailor cloak. If it procs after u corruption does the new dmg get snapshootted without casting corruption so the corruption snapshot is just based on crit?

1. nah not worth 2. usually 1% crit = 0.5% dmg, and that's at full fight length. so anything with 5%+ or more id just recast 3. ye use spellstone only

@@NLGwotlkclassic 49 hit rating = 1.067% crit, also spellstone 1% buff can be not additive, but multiplicative, so its not 1+0.12 (Death Embrace)+0.15(ToTT)+0.01(Spellstone)=1.28 or 28% dmg increase, but (1+0.12 (Death Embrace)+0.15(ToTT))*1.01=1.2827 or 28.27% dmg increase, so it means spellstone can give you 1.27% to corruption instead of 1.067% crit, on execute phase, and a bit less on pull (not 1+1.15+0.01=1,16%, but (1+1.15)*1.01=1.1615% so 1.15% on pull instead of 1%) But even if its additive, 1% to dmg is better than 1.067% to crit rating IMO, also you're not applying 1% buff to your first UA, which lasts 5 ticks and probably will not get benefit from 1.067% crit, and first CoAgony which is just cannot crit.

One thing I noticed is that right when you applied corruption your trinket procced. That corruption you just applied does not benefit from the bonus spell power only everything cast after the proc. Having all them buffs right at the beginning I believe it is worth to waste one more global reapplyingcorruption? Or does haunt, sb refresh corruption and reapply bonus spell power to that corruption???

How do you think aff will be on wotlk classic with how fast fights will be? Will they be as good as on p server overtime? Maybe arcane and unholy will be crazy in naxx cause fights will last less than a minute probably?

i think affliction will be ok but will likely get beat out by arcane, unholy, demonology, both shaman dps and some other burst classes i'm mentioning just because you literally might only get 3 or 4 drain ticks and your ramp-up time is very high percentage wise compared to other classes. i've seen some very good burst from affliction though even in my own clips but it's hard to judge. Most important thing imo is that naxx really doesn't matter, ulduar and beyond is all that matters for wrath imo and affliction will be #1 for all of those

Quick question: can't I just add the waepon swap to a corruption macro? So it uses corruption and instantly swaps weapons, or would that be instant and use the modifiers of the non-crit weapons?

Not entirely sure i know some sht messes up if u try and macro it for example the mastery set swapping in cata doesnt work with high ping If anything itd be open boss with crit items, get tricks, hit ur macro thatd be like /cast corruption /equip x y z weapons It may work but u would really have to test if the crit bonus was applied or not
