I dunno, $50 grand may be affordable to some people, but to me that's still wildly out of my price ballpark. I have 120 inch in a nice Epson UST and a CLR and that set me back about $4 grand. Is it as good? Not really, that 21:9 setup there is exactly what I'd want. But I can put one of these systems in every room in my house and pay less than $50 grand and it does still look spectacular. The price needs to come down by an order of magnitude or very nearly.

I absolutely love the idea of a microLED video wall. It's just that the tech isn't there yet for competitive pricing with the rest of the consumer video world. I love the look. I love it's capability. I don't love the center channel issue that it shares with tvs. I can't wait for the video wall segment to come down in price because I would absolutely jump on it. But for now, my current plan is madVR Core, with the new Epson QB1000, and a roll-down Phantom HALR AT screen from Stewart. Still not cheap obviously but incredible price for the 140" setup I'm saving for vs the video wall.

That dude is out of his mind, you can pick up a 136" Micro LED for an "Acceptable rate" of $50,000 USD. You also need an electrician to put in the properly wiring, so you need to calculate that cost in as well. Probably will cost more for just the electrician then a 100" TV would cost with no electrician . To each their own, but calling the price an "acceptable rate" is mendacious at worst and obfuscation at best. again, either is bad business.

Because it’s tv technology put into small panels to make any size screen you want, they can put a stupid price mark up on it. 10 to 20 years time, the wall will be the price of a high end projector, and get cheaper like Led TV’s, even OLED TV’s are getting cheaper now, but not so much for the big name techs, Sony, Samsung,LG etc.
@Chief_Of_SinnersАй бұрын
The price mark up is due to the high cost of manufacturing and install. The modular nature is not why the maturity of this technology is highly anticipated by video purists and home theater enthusiasts. It's the OLED level blacks without the image degradation, brightness issues, as well as near instant pixel response times for gamers, etc. Like QDEL, MicroLED has the potential to be "endgame" level TV tech.

Staring prices at $50,000 USD is a very "Acceptable rate"? How is this man defining "Acceptable rate"? At $366 per inch, the word "Acceptable" doesn't make sense. Acceptable means: able to be agreed on; suitable. So this is a "suitable rate"? Who is it "suitable" for? Or we can use your clever marketing term "Acceptable rate". Instead of using marketing tricks and gimmicks, why not just compare Lunar's prices to Samsung or Sony? Id rather pay more then be tricked by marketing terms.

Look at the comments. This kind of thing is a growing stink in the av industry, ridiculous prices for unfinished products, and arguing and talking past clients. This tech should be 16k resolution or better since it is modular. 4k is DOA at large screen size over 120 and even more so at $50,000 for glorified led strips. A 1x2 foot or so led panel is 50 bucks TOPS to make, and chaining them not much more. The comments here show an overwhelming amount of resentment, and brand baggage is becoming a big thing now. Look at the pounding Samsung {selling 5k projectors and paying their workers 200 bucks a month--1800 such workers making 30% of Samsung revenue striking in India now} and Sony with $300 million game cancelled after a week, now ps5 being rejected due to overpriced nothing burger. These overpriced companies are treating customers like they are awfully stupid, telling them they are not the target market etc. Many people are making informal lists of who never to buy from again because of this. The phony high dollar stink has always been a plague to the av hobby since I first saw it in the 70's, it is a growing sickness now. Now if the 160 inch was under 5 thousand and 8k uhd it would enter the realm of honest pricing, right now how many non essential ppl are wetting their beaks with the other $65,000 ? Most ppl will get a nice 150 inch ust, save mid 6 figures and never look back.
