I definitely prefer this format for dupe videos, I like being able to see more of the application. Also would be super interested in seeing the new Maybelline super stay foundation in a testing new drugstore makeup video. I feel so out of the loop with drugstore releases recently but I know there’s a ton of intriguing stuff out there that aren’t being talked about for whatever reason. When I do see drugstore related videos, it’s always about elf but truthfully I don’t care about elf, not that much anyway. Like can we please get some more variety, other brands exist and are releasing stuff too 😭

Rare Beauty has travel sized blushes on Sephora’s website for $14. Since a little goes a long way, it’s about the same as the drugstore. 😊

The rare beauty mini blushes are great! It still takes forever to use up and spending the full size amount when I like options didn’t make sense. Definitely try a mini! And the packaging of the mini is still great - it’s not a case of the mini version having bad packaging, which really irks me with many other brands.

I bought a mini size of a Rare Beauty liquid blush and it will last forever because it’s so pigmented. But I hear you. I do the rare splurge but otherwise find drugstore brands are just fine if not better (for instance, I’ve been very underwhelmed by Charlotte Tilbury stuff & think elf eyeshadow is better!).

I totally get you. I'm on a drugstore/Korean budget and couldn't get the Rare Beauty blushes despite wanting to try them so badly for years (I'll be honest: am a blushophile 😅). But quite recently I used an unexpected cashback to buy a high end cream bronzer in the UK - the only way I can get US brands (finally a shade that matches, and a formula that looks amazing), and the same website sold Rare Beauty. I caved. I ended up getting the mini! I love Rare Beauty for having miniature options! Not only are they cheaper - I only paid €15, which isn't cheap compared to drugstore or K-beauty, but it's doable - but quite often liquids go bad before you finish them. The RB blushes are so pigmented that I only need one dot. ONE! (Most people use two dots, but I use a smaller area on my face for blush as it makes me look younger). So, even the mini will last me forever. So, trust me: if you really want to have them, save up for a mini blush. PS. I also got an ELF blush as they were just €6 on sale, the so called dupe for RB, but they're drier imho: I prefer the finish of the RB on my dry, mature skin. Haven't tried the L'Oréal yet. PS2. Korea/ Japan still have my vote for blushes. Better than high-end. I love-love cream blushes, particularly from (f.e) CanMake, Lilybyred or Fwee, but A'PIEU and Etude House both have amazing liquid blushes. Look for the ones that look like nailpolish bottles.

Jessica, little trick for your mascara when it gets clumpy, buy a travel size bottle of contact solution, put about 4 drops into mascara tube, put wand back in and shake tube really well. It will soften & mix up the mascara and you will be able to use it longer. It will be much more emollient for longer. Try it, it really works.

For the Apple Watch band- there are some soft silicone bands that have a flowery pattern to them that has holes/spaces throughout the pattern. It allows air to get to the skin and keeps the skin from getting sweaty under the band. Hope that helps!

A note on the Thrive- don't mess with it so much. It's starting to dry already and you're still swiping, which is why it's 'clumping.' Thrive is amazing because you can just do a few swipes quickly and you're done! ❤

Oh man, I LOVE the Thrive Cosmetics liquid lash extensions mascara. It’s worth every penny. In my experience the ELF tubing mascara doesn’t compare at all. I agree that there are lots of great drug store mascara options, but if you want a tubing mascara, Thrive is the best in show!

My ultimate favorite mascara is the elf tubing mascara & that will absolutely never change ever. Your lashes looked so much cleaner & wispy with the elf mascara & the thrive mascara looked thick & clumpy. Plus, elf tubing mascara is so much cheaper. If you haven't tried the brown version before, go get one & I feel like it's better than the black one.

elastic Apple Watch straps!!! I got a pack off Amazon, it’s so nice and not rubbery. I’ve worn the straps and gotten them wet in kayaks etc and it’s so nice. they slip over your hand and are adjustable and fit perfectly since they adjust so well!

I LOVE the Elf tubing mascara! However, I didn't like it the first time I tried it. I used it, hated it, set it aside for a few weeks, then decided to give it another go and loved it. So if you try it and don't like it at first, maybe let it dry out a little bit.

The Nyx butter bronzers pull so warm on me! I have a cool undertone too. I did love the formula but not the color.

Really? For me they were a breath of fresh air. Almost all bronzers are always too yellow and orange, way too warm toned. There's a very limited bunch I can wear. On someone with my muted cool tone (meaning that I also have blue-grey tones in my skin, so lavender/purple undertones look good too. Or better even), these butter bronzers - I have 01 - made me feel great. The Nyx, with their pink undertones, were an answered prayer for thousands of cool toned people, as it was something that finally looked good AND natural, instead of all the muddy rest. The only people I've heard complain - and I watched a million reviews before I bought, were warm toned people, a few neutrals, and those who also have olive undertones - besides some cool. So because of the green tones, the pink doesn't properly work. They need a greyer variant, like the Milani Silky Matte 02 (my absolute favourite powder bronzer). Anyway, just thinking 'out loud'. Was just surprised. While I'm happy that the normally underrepresented cool toned peeps finally feel heard and have enough to choose from, maybe Nyx will create more undertones to satisfy more people. The formula is indeed great.

The PF glowy primer looks much more toned down and prettier, in my opinion. As for the mascara, my all-time favorite is the L'oreal Lash Paradise. But have never found a formula that removes like the Thrive mascara. It's beautiful. Superior formula. Also, I top the Thrive mascara with the Lash Paradise mascara. Makes it look beautiful. And oh my goodness, I LOVE the L'oreal Dewy Worth It blush! I haven't used another blush since I've purchased it. It's beautiful. I love that color. Its gorgeous.

Rare beauty is the best for deeper skin tones. Most brands can’t get the pigment deep enough. Elf was pigmented and i liked their tones but not forgiving when blending and blotchy.

Hi Jessica I’m more thankful happy to use more affordable brands for colour cosmetics eg blush, but I have never found a foundation (available in my shade) that I like. I’m ultra pale and extremely cool toned with eczema prone dry mature skin, so foundation shopping is really difficult. Most brands don’t have a shade match (including higher end) but it’s even more difficult in affordable brands. For reference I am 00 in Dior, 03p in Sephora brand and 0.5 in Revolution (yes I am that pale 😂). I have also been really into K beauty makeup recently as they do a lot of lilac or grape tones that are truly cool toned and don’t turn peachy on my skin/lips within five minutes (I need that purple undertone to stop things turning orange 🍊 on me). Have you tried the serum foundation from wet n wild? Not the tinted moisturizer. I haven’t seen it in stores, but it’s online. Would love to see what you think!
