Here's a few links for my favorite credit cards. I try to check the links often, but let me know if there is a problem. If they change the offer on the card, I may need to update the link. Full disclosure, I get a few airline miles for referring a new customer. You should get the same public offer at no additional cost. Thank you very much.

On Nut BTS area is a great place to find a great deal on a condo in Bangkok, Thailand. Check out this look around Sukhumvit Soi 52. Very close to the train and Lotus shopping center. I used to live across the street on Sukhumvit Soi 77. On Nut is a great place to live. Less than 15 minutes on the train to the Terminal 21 mall in Asoke. If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.

2:51 I saw one listing online at MY Condo for a one-bedroom rental (35 sq m) going for only 7,000 Baht a month.

There are some deals to be had. Just be careful with those listing online. Facebook marketplace gives a real price. Other real estate ads are famous over here for being 2 years old. Just to get you to call. The only problem with Facebook is that you're on your own with the Thai lease, etc.. I'd contact a large real estate office. Have them send you the current offers email. Track the top 5 buildings you may want. The good news is prices don't go up 20% in BKK like other parts of the world. When I moved here, I called 20 ads from Faz Waz online. One out of 20 was available. The rest were very old ads.

Any realistic idea on the rental price range for those units? ❤
@EagerExpat
@EagerExpat 6 ай бұрын
@@kosamui No idea. You need to contact a real estate agent for the real current prices. If there is an ad for 7k, I'd guess 10k is a reasonable guess. But, I have no idea. I have buddies that pay 8K or 9K for a boarding house situation in On Nut. Just a simple 24m room. It looks like a hotel room, with a pool and laundry downstairs. I'd guess condos would command more than an apartment. But, again a realtor is the person to ask. Even if you paid 12k, that's $330 US. So it's all small dollars, compared to how much you party and drink. That can easily be another $2000 or more US. Worrying about $200 rent or $330 rent isn't the issue. Live where you're comfortable. That's my two cents anyhow.

I visited a friend in the Quintara 3 years ago, a bar girl who was also a practicing Mormon believe it or not, and it was a medium size 1br condo. Nothing special. I saw a 2br in the Tree, where you mentioned the security guard, and it was 11m baht for a top floor 114sqm condo. If I had the money, I'd be there now.

That looked like a nice building. I didn't know they had that large size condo.

Sorry. Tag should not say Affordable Condo's unless you show the prices.

I show maybe 200 or 300 buildings in 30 videos a month. Getting prices on all of them would be a full time job. This was showing an affordable area. It's up to you to do the homework and consult an agent. Prices change monthly. Up and down. Plus, I'm not wasting an agents time pretending to rent a unit. (Like many KZbinrs do) It also depends on 28m or 35m or 60m. But, this area being affordable won't change. I've also did it, but guys making "Look At My $400 Condo" video are just wasting everyone's time. You go into the office saying I want the $400 condo. They tell you it's $600 today and your watching a 2 year old video. That's why many condo offices have a sign that says "No KZbin" You pick a neighborhood, then get an agent (they all have email, What's App, Line) for real prices. I'll point out if this is the Beverly Hills of Bangkok, or like Soi 52, this is where you'll find an affordable (maybe 28m 7000b, 35m maybe 9000k) area. That won't happen in Asoke or Thonglor. I'll also say this is an expensive area of town in those videos.

Yes, On Nut became very popular. I paid 16k for a 31m. Today, I live on Soi 26. 52m for 19k. No complaints compared to US rent and mortgages

Have you figured out the district and sub-districts situation in Bangkok? Like where Khlong Toei starts and ends, for example. Then there's Watthana. And I guess Phrong Phong is a subdistrict? I’m confused because I stayed on Soi 50 for a while but my phone's location would always say I'm in Phra Khanong, one BTS stop away. I don't believe there's an area actually called "On Nut" as on Google maps districts and sub-districts are labelled in caps. “On Nut” is in small letters and it seems to be just a major road. What do you think?
@EagerExpat
@EagerExpat 6 ай бұрын
No, I'm still working on the sub districts. I'm pretty sure On Nut is in the Phra Khanong sub. Don't let the BTS station confuse you. Phra Khanong covers some areas. My sub in Phrom Phong is Klong Toei
