My My favorite song is “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. It reminds me of my dad. Like Louis, he had a tough childhood and adolescence but it doesn’t stop him from being optimistic. And thankfully I inherited that from him. We need try to hold onto those fleeting moments of joy and wonder whenever we can especially these days when there is so much pain in the world.

My favorite song is Hyperballad by Bjork. The lush folktronic house beat coupled with the surreal but deeply sad lyrics makes for a very cathartic solo room dance experience. Also nothing better than hearing it at a club or rave back in the day (yeah I'm old) and sharing that catharsis with a hundred people. One of few songs that make me smile and cry at the same time. Listen to it with headphones (along with the rest of the amazing music on Björk's second album, Post), it's a transportative experience. Thanks for sharing your collection and for being such a relatable, engaging, and fun reviewer. I share many of your quirkier preferences, and so always appreciate your opinion! Thank you for doing this video! Always love an affordable perfume, vid! I'm looking at that Rose Couture with great interest...My favorite song is "Sukiyaki" by Kyu Sakomoto, written in the early 60's, and was written as a metaphor for the political state of Japan post-WWII. It's such a happy tune, even though the lyrics describe a man's thoughts and memories as he whistles, looking up so his tears don't fall while reminiscing. The song is featured in one of my favorite movies of all time, Studio Ghibli's From Up on Poppy Hill, also set in the 60's. It's so addicting and sweet, I often listen to it on repeat, it gives my ADHD the dopamine boost I crave!

I have both of the Khadlaj fragrances you showed and am in love with both. I think of E.A. as being a cousin of the designer lavender vanillas. Intoxicating! No problem wearing it as a woman. F.O. is something I will layer with other things if I want it to last all day, though it's aged well and lasts longer than it did when I got it. Thanks so much for the recommendations!
