The Zodiac sea wolf actually came out in 1953 at the same time as the Blancpain 50 fathoms (Basil show). They were the first two commercially available divers on the market - a full year before the Rolex Submariner was released.

Zodiac appears to make good divers, despite the many negative reviews I have read concerning their QC. I like their designs, but not enough to justify Zodiac’s asking prices.

I have not seen those negative reviews, but I have not gone looking for them either. I have compared this watch to a few others from my collection, and I think you get a good value with this watch. especially with the 20% discount, or buying on the secondary market.
