Everyone knows war is hell (of course those who have fought in it know that the most) and that song in the first Dutch countryside level reflects that. No badass music, just melancholy, because war is sad, depressing.

Played this groundbreaking game way back and the music so works with the tension and sounds of war that it still resonates today. I distinctly remember the weapons being clunky and tricky to handle as they would have been in those days. And the ‘ploink noise when picking up the water canteens is unforgettable. Excellent game considering it’s one of the first of its kind.

This game blew me away back in the summer of 2002. I had a week off work and had just kitted my bedroom out, totally redecorated, new carpet, furniture, 21" CRT Phillips TV and a 5.1 cinema amplifier. I spent the week in it playing this game. It was the first WW2 game I'd ever played and it blew me away with how real it looked, sounded, and the atmosphere. Happy days.

Todavía lo tengo y no me aburre nunca. Estoy agradecido eternamente con este juego
