Nick Daicos showed that a good defender will get you a good shot at the Brownlow. Just haven’t had enough elites defenders lately

Agree with the draw. Both teams take something yet will look back on missed opportunities. The emptiness of the draw is great

Jye Caldwell underrated. For someone that hardly attends a centre bounce he’s playing pretty elite for a high half forward with moments in the midfield.

BT just sounds so bored and disinterested unless he's calling a big vic team. I remember twice last year when he was calling one of our games Braeden Campbell launched one from near the boundary outside 50 and he sounded like he was twiddling his thumbs and ready to go home.

Personally, I hate the idea of extra time (in the home and away season). The thrilling last minute of a tied game, where both teams try their hardest to get it forward and score, is too exciting. With extra time, the last minute will be super boring with it basically being a game of kick to kick and both teams making sure no one’s scored on. Basically waiting for extra time.

It's a good point because, like you said, games would come more defensive. Plus, games would probably be more low scoring, so I say good call.

The dislike of Brian Taylor and Kelli Underwood is deserved. They are both terrible for different reasons. Underwood has no feel for how important each bit of play is, she calls almost all of the game as if it is a one point margin in the last minute of the game. Taylor is just not well informed, he does not know the rules and says so much stupid sht that it is comical. They are not alone, special mention for Joel Selwood as a complete waste of time in the "special comments" section. There are maybe 4 commentators that I can stomach. I mostly watch with the sound muted.

Brian Taylor as a commentator, is why teenagers ask their parents to drop them off a block away " you kids going to the movies wow wee" and some of the Victorian bias i've witnessed from Kelly Underwood on ABC's outsiders, i have no sympathy for her.

The draw should only be for the home and away season. Definitely need extra time for finals though.

I think the AFL should introduce a Super goal (9 points) if a player kicks a goal from outside 50. This will change up the game so much in a positive way by encouraging long bomb goals and rewarding players that can kick a goal outside 50. At the moment the challenge of kicking a goal over 50m get your the same amount of points as kicking 5m directly in front.

Agree,I see Port are chasing Harry Perryman from GWS,he can play a bit of midfield but mainly a small/medium lockdown defender type player.We have tried Dylan Williams back there also Jones and Sinn so probably suggest Port haven't much faith in these players doing the lockdown type role down there

Underwood deserves all the criticism she cops, she is by far the worst commentator on the current roster & the only one capable of making me mute my tv and listen to the radio commentary instead

Kelly was never an A lister and shouldn’t have got the kings ransom for the trade. He is steady and looked amazing feeding off Selwood and Danger but got exposed coming to an aging injured B grade midfield. He has his place in the team no doubt is okay now but will never be worth the dollars he’s on. Still solid like a chad fletcher

Love the vid. Level headed comments and I agree pretty much with everything. On Darwin I think it's a must for the future of the game perhaps north Melbourne will merge. Big call I hope not, but really where are they going ? It was proposed In the past but a NZ team ? On the draw. Keep it. Life isn't about a perfect neat set of happy endings. It's unique and soon as we start tweaking everything we lose that uniqueness. Makes sense with finals, but Im so happy to have seen a grand final draw, an reply as a pies man. All in all been quite a positive season I've enjoyed watching most of the teams an seeing how they progress. My only gripe keep politics out of footy.

I like the draw. If the teams can’t be separated after 2 hours then so be it. Of course finals are different. Don’t want another repeat of Saints Vs Collingwood GF.

Tassie will be the new Suns. Just an incubator for the bigger teams to punch players. AFL needs to merge Suns and North and head to Tassie. Oh and the west teams need their own academies like Cats and Swans with the same rules of keeping talent local. Collingwood leaving Melbourne 6 times a year is a joke

Harley Reid is a new player and rookie. There is no such thing as over/under rated. Thats all media/afl hype to create stories. How can a player that has played a handful of afl games be labelled as good or not. Let him play a season or 2 and see where hes at. Even great players have bad years. Look at Lachie Neale. Not doing much for lions like he did last year. Reid is just another player. He certainly has ability and looks like he can be a great player, but you gotta prove your worth and that comes with experience, consistency and reliability and playing well each week, every week. It doesnt come after a dozen games or so and then the afl and network commentators then start talking them up or down. When players are established and spent years in the system, ala Scott Pendlebury, they are then classified as good, great, bad players etc, not over/underrated. Under/over rated is nothing but a temporary term on how a player is going at that particular time.
