Great video. I'm not sure I buy the part about moving to Ghana and having no difficulty. Born and bred in Miami for over 30 yrs. Then just up and move to Ghana without even trying it out first. And they both said there was no culture shock at all. None? Not even a bit? But they’re doing great things there. I wish them well.

I wouldn't be interested in using your construction company. Would that be a problem? Better yet, I would let my fiance make that call. But I hope that it won't be a concern. He himself is into developing and building as an entrepreneur himself. He knows exactly how I want things as well, and he has a very unique style that would suit you and the community, to be honest. I am happy to view the progress that has been made since it all began. Had I not developed some health concerns, I would have been the 1st female there. I was living in Kumasi beginning 2017 but presently back in the States. I have a return flight for this November, so I am looking forward to meeting you all. I will not be talked out of building this time if I choose to build in Asebu.

this is a solid project for 70-80k. surely worth a consultancy call with this family. respect and best of luck. however, with current quotes from the builder ranging from up to 180k it is competitive with many others locally. do your diligence. but .... with a plot price of $1,200 for 80x100, that is surely interesting to look into in itself.

The statement made by our brother that the land is not free is very unfortunate. I didn't see any expression of gratefulness from him to the Chief and good people of Asebu for this great gesture. If these lands were sold, surely each plot could have been sold for over $1,200. Even here in the states or every developed nation, nothing is truly free even when given to you freely. Even there's tax on inheritance estate. If somebody gives you s house for free, won't you pay your yearly taxes? Are you expecting the custodial of the land to give you the land free, pay for every paperwork fand pay the yearly taxes on it by themselves? Respectfully, Ghanaian bloggers should also learn to do their due diligence before granting interviews so that interviewees could be fact checked during their interviews to prevent the spread of misinformation. As we build our nation, together with our brothers and sisters from the diaspora we all have a patriotic duty to defend Ghana and the entire continent until proven guilty! God bless!
@BuildwithAmoaa4 ай бұрын
The paperwork costs about $200. Land in the area costs between $500 to $700. This free land costs $1,200. He lives there and he knows what he is talking about. He didn't say he was not grateful, he just stated the fact that the land is not free. Kindly do not comment on my due diligence without knowing facts for yourself. I am aware of the cost of land in that area and it’s surrounding communities. I am also aware of the cost of the paperwork involved in registering these lands, to acquire the site plans and indentures involved. The total cost of all these, land and paperwork, is less than the $1,200 in most cases. Lately the land prices in Asebu specifically, have increased because of the increased demand in the area but it should cost you anywhere between $500 to $700 per plot of land. The documentation process and associated fees should come to about $200 (this cost reduces, the more plots you acquire). Even in the highest case scenario the total comes to about $1,100, let’s round that up to $1,200. Is this free land?
@NK_AGYEPONG4 ай бұрын
@@BuildwithAmoaa @BuildwithAmoaa My dear sister, don't take this personal. There's misinformation in his narrative. Are you the one who determines how much another sells their land for? The postulation of your guests supports the unfortunate narrative circulating on the web, that the kind gesture, by the Chief and people of Adebu is a scam. Is it? I know for a fact, the Chief has used some of this $1,200 to grade some roads in the community and in some parts electric posts. Are you and your guest saying that the Chief and the people of Adebu should bare these costs? Your response supports the misinformation circulating the internet, that this good gesture by the Chief and the good people of Asebu is a lie. Which is very unfortunate. I was expecting you to politely bring a correction to his narrative that in regards to the peace of mind he has concerning his land because of the due diligence of the Chief, paperwork costs, necessary communual developments like roads which justifies the $1,200. Respectfully, understand that factual criticisms should not be taken as personal attacks, but rather an opportunity for growth! Stay blessed!

I would have liked for the brother to respect them, saying it's free and you're only paying for paperwork processing for the land; instead of saying, "it's really not free." They said, its free except the paperwork. Just Respect it my brother. Nevertheless I'm glad they went. I'm coming soon.

He is only stating facts, the land is not free. The total cost is equivalent to both the cost of land AND paperwork in the area.

Putting my critical thinking cap on - It is nice that this land was set aside but it is literally in the middle of nowhere. It is far from Accra and the roads do not look like they support major construction that people would need to live here. Also, I would need a land survey, full years weather report, past 10 years weather report, and to know if there is a grid system the plots of allocated to.
@vincebonney22924 ай бұрын
Not accurate that it's in the middle of nowhere. Asebu is one of the District Capitals in the Central region and only about 20 minute drive to Cape Coast, the Central regional Capital. Accra is also an hour and half away. Make your move fast before it's too late. Home sweet home.
@otown17144 ай бұрын
Overthinking???? Get on the ground that is the only way to find out. You will be the weather person to start it from scratch... How does that sound.....Africa is intact still, it is a no touched land, do think about the city mind without being on the ground....

Lol, Asebu is everything! 20 mins to Cape Coast. Grocery stores, restaurants and beaches are also there. I love it here. I hate the city. Find where you want to be. Aburi is nice, Tema, Accra there is so much to choose from.
