Hi, Kev I've watched lots of your videos, My tank has been running for a year. With small fish in it then I get an ammonia spike, went to my LFS and they suggested a bottle of starter bacterial which I didn't think would be that good. I tried it for 5 days and my tank was no better, after seeing your video about seachem prime and stability I bought some off the internet, within 4 days my tank was fine it's great stuff. I want to thank you very much it saved my fish, thank you again

Hello, my pink convict Cichlids have Fry. The parents are very aggressive and try to bite me 🤪. When do I remove the fry to another small tank. How many days after they had the fry
@KaveManAquatics Жыл бұрын
If you have other fish in the tank, you should move them now before they get eaten. If you cant get to them, make sure you have plenty of hiding spots for them to hide in.

What filtration do you have on the 210? What turn over rate do you recommend for a moderately stocked cichlid tank? Trying to get into cichlids.

Hi Kev, love your channel! My fish just had some fry, I have them in a separate tank but now am wondering, do you keep only male tanks? I don’t have time or continued setup for constant fry and debating on getting rid of my female. I wanna do what’s best for my fish, but dealing with fry and what to do with all of them isn’t for me. Thanks so much.

I like thank you for your videos it has help me big time with my tank but do have several questions about my 30 gallon tank I have 2 small wave makers and 2 large sponge filters in it do you feel this is to much for this size of tank
@KaveManAquatics2 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you're finding the videos helpful MaryJane. And thank you for your membership and support of the channel! 😊💪 For a 30 gallon tank you really only need 1 wave maker. 2 would be too much flow and current for any kind of fish. The 2 sponge filters are fine as they are just providing extra filtration and surface agitation which never hurts if you have too much 😊

I just noticed that I have fry in my tank. I can’t get to them without ripping the tank apart. Fingers crossed that they grow before becoming a snack. They are caudopunctalis.

isnt it a little too late to add Prime into the water? The chlorine could have killed the BB before you added Prime. Genuine question because I always add Prime into a tub to mix with water before pumping it into the tank. Thank you KaveMan

Hey kaveman, I have 1 cichlid fry that I rescued from my tank before I removed my females. Can I grow 1 cichlid fry in a 10 gallon tank to around 2 1/2 to 3 inches or should I get a 20-30 gallon for that? (Just crunched for space, 10 gallon would fit better)
