Colin Kaepernick is clearly right and anyone with even the tiniest bit of sense can easily see that. The problem with "Those People" who try to make this about disrespecting a flag (I honestly never knew a flag could have its feeling hurt) instead of what it's really about is that the thought can't even form in their minds that they are wrong. Every time anyone calls out the wrong they do their minds can't process the fact that it is even possible for them to be wrong so their minds automatically twist it so that those calling them out are wrong and doing something bad. "Those People" are not sane, they're no intelligent and they have a serious and dangerous brain disorder. The fact that they are not recognized as mentally unsound and permitted to vote and sit on juries simply allows terrible things to happen in America and for America to do terrible things world wide.

I used to stand to express my unity with my relatives who are currently serving. Even somewhere in the middle of an ocean and mountain cave during the time of my son's football game. While active soldiers and vets don't ask for that gratitude, it totally saddens me that I can no longer think of THEM bc of trumps statements. The flag and anthem was never created for me, but I acknowledge the POWs, the cops like Darren Wilson of Philadelphia, the people like me who have volunteered in police athletic sites, deep poverty areas and at VA hospitals. All of my family uncles have served and died for my right to do have freedom to protest. We work to change laws and policies everyday. How can I use that national moment to honor the oath so many servicemen, lawmakers, compassionate volunteers and my relatives are taking for me in this country? There are plenty of people who respect this protest, but want to stand with those who are sacrificing themselves for even my little rights to wear pants and drive to the game as a woman.
