Grenfell was a tower block that burned down, with poor ppl in and they still needed rehousing till this day, jack Merritt was a rehabilitation officer and helped Dave's brother on a murder case, he was killed on the London tower by a ex con terrorist. His parents were invited by Dave to the show, and had no idea he devoted that add on bit to the song for jack and Saskia.

The saddest part about the Grenfell tower, the fire would have been prevented if the people building it didn't save only £5,000.

Imagine they played this in schools. Getting kids too explain each line and understand it. That would be WOW… also a very ‘cool’ way to get kids interested in history and culture and accepting that we are all the same.

Thank you for this reaction, it was very educational. As a white British, the point you made about how African culture would use natural medicine to cure headaches etc but now taking medicine has become the normal instead and changed that culture is something I wouldn’t have thought about. X
