@@christinalewis6479 Sure! Narada was right in the video, I don’t use heat on my hair at all. I believe the last time I straightened my hair was 2018. I wash my hair every 3-4 weeks, sometimes sooner if I feeling I need to. I use Dr. Bronners peppermint soap as my shampoo (I don’t dilute it; it can be too harsh for some people but I don’t have any issues with it). I also use the Carol’s Daughter rose water jelly-to-cream conditioner as a rinse out conditioner. I don’t use leave-in or deep conditioners; I don’t think my hair needs it. For styling, I always do two-strand twist with Nature’s Blessing hair grease (and water) and leave them in for about a week or two and then take them out for a twist-out. I don’t use any other styling products. That’s pretty much it. I keep my routine as simple as possible and my hair seems to like the simplicity. I hope this helps!

Great Job!! I can't recall the last time I watched a stylist take a client that said I haven't trimmed in a while and actually just give them a trim and not use it as an excuse to just cut all their hair. Wow, her hair is epic! 😍It's super nice to see that not all hair textures can get a very straight blow out. I'm sometimes very frustrated that my hair instantly reverts back when it's getting a blown out, the ends usually never get straight the way the roots are stretched, and then I would l try to compensate with more heat passes. I'll definitely leave my hair alone now and won't try to get it as straight as possible for trims. Thank you for showing this, because we oftentimes sit at home and wonder why our hair isn't doing certain things. Just to find out, it's ok. No need to worry.😊

My hair dries quickly, doesn’t like a lot of heat and reverts very quibble back into its very tightly coiled natural state. My hair likes braided two strand and flat twists. I try to leave it in twists, then twist out, then a fro. My hair is steadily growing. I’m looking forward to seeing the growth following my return to my vitamins.

My hair retains water and the same thing happens to me. It prefers to revert to it's natural curl. What I find helps when blow drying is to let it cool before I move to the next section. If Im going for a straight look I keep light tension as it cools. If Im going for a blown out look I just wave the section until it cools. I twist the sections together as I go and pin it up. So Im left with 2 large twists at the end. Ill have to get rid of the waves when Im done. But if I leave it down it will absolutely revert. And dont let me start sweating. . . .

This is another reason I don’t bother to straighten or stretch-it’s bound and determined to revert and that’s a lot of heat and work I don’t have time or energy for. Even my twistouts and rod sets eventually start turning into ‘wash n gos’. Lot of time and effort for no reason.

The same happens to the back of my hair (I'm multi-textured); every twistout turns into a stretched fluffy wash and go look😂. It's actually cute, but the tangles that develop after a few days, if I don't retwist, are the pits.

@@MT-yx5cu Yep, that’s also why I eyeroll when people swear stretching prevents knots. Twists might tone them down and that’s only when they stay washed, moisturized and the shred removed regularly. Stretching doesn’t do squat for a lot of people and knots don’t prevent length retention. I don’t have the time.

How do you typically maintain or style your hair now? I've been experimenting with fluffy twistouts on blown out hair (I use the Revair) this month.

I even restyled it with a rinse out conditioner every 3 days, still no luck. Im trying to make it to waist length by next year, so I'm trying to find styles that won't cause a need for a trim.

My hair is consistently growing! Start with plaited or cornrowed base, this twist it. after a few days, I take it down. The next two days, I wear it in an afro. I just trimmed it. Per your instructions, I'm using grease and water. I keep a jar of Blue Magic Castor Oil Formula in my classroom desk and at home. Recently, I even used it on my extremely dry cuticles. lol

If I am ever in GA, I would love to visit Narada. I often wear braids and I’ve been getting my hair professionally braided for years not realizing the gels and edge controls being used on my hair was causing damage. I’ve noticed my hair was getting so dry and stringy like. When I started watching Narada’s video, I begin making small changes. For example, I stopped allowing gel and edge control and I now use Aphogee leave in conditioner and it’s made a huge difference! My hair is soft again! I’m grateful for the advice he gives and to just be able to watch him do his thang!! ❤
