I'm going to be honest here, Q sweep is Afro's crutch. There's a reason why the move is consider a skill check, cause it only works in the lower skill brackets. If Afro wants to go up the ladder, he gotta get his vanish timing down and work on his fundies. Especially on auto combos vanishes where it's always a 4-5 tick hit so if you see it coming, you can always vanish it. Other minor mistakes that's keeping him from consistently winning is his reliance on super counter which cost awakening gauge on hard hit, super dashing at low Ki gauge which guarantees he loses on vanish exchanges, not implementing charge heavies and side step in his neutral gameplay since he always defaults to auto combo, super dashing and immediately auto combo after the opponent used afterimage which guarantees the counter hit (you have to be in neutral and bait it out by landing a hit before using ur own vanish that you get access to while comboing), and not transforming immediately when he gets accessed to the proper amount of gauge. The last 2 opponents he fought that cleaned him up absolutely had these mechanics down to a T and showed him the peaks he could reach if he starts locking in his gameplay.
