Buddha challenged Wukong to escape his grasp, so Wukong in a single jump, reached the end of the universe, wrote on a pillar he found, pissed on it, and then jumped back to the Buddha. Buddha then raised his hand and revealed that one of his fingers had the same exact thing Wukong wrote down and also smelled of piss. The entirety of the universe is in the palm of Buddha's hand. And at the end of the journey to the west, Wukong himself became a Buddha. He's also immortal, many times over. Sun Wukong's power is simply "I'm just better". There's barely anybody in fiction that can beat the dude.

Technically he never got that far. The Jade Emperor (the ruler of Chinese Heaven) kept calling for backup until the Buddha got involved. Who, since The Journey to the West is an allegorical tale of humanity's path of Buddhistic enlightenment, instantly smacked Wukong under a magical mountain. Wukong got pretty far though, only Erlang (the dude from the prologue) managed to hold his ground while everyone else got clapped.

But to be fair, Journey to the West is one of the most famous and oldest action/comic novels.. ever. Wu Cheng’en, the author of JTTW, was inspired HIMSELF by a 7th century text about a Buddhist monk named Xuanzang, who went to India in search of sacred divine texts. It’s a great story, it can be adapted time and time again, and it has. From Dragon Ball, to God of War.

Sun wukong literally achieved Buddhahood because of how less prideful he was of the abilities he possessed, the point is.. he’s immortal, erased his name from the book of life and death, was ONLY defeated by Buddha and fought 1k celestial at once. He’s one of those characters that unless you understand some Buddhist mythology you can’t even grasp his level of strength. As far as I know about kratos, his prime can’t beat something beyond universal omnipotence. Now that’s just my case, same with goku best form he’s got. hey just a tip - you can actually prep your heavy attack while you are in cloud step, and use that to break the enemy from the back. Also there is an actual perry - it's in the skill tree: Staff Stances > Smash Stance > Resolute Counterflow. Do your normal light attacks, and whenever the enemy is about to strike, press the heavy attack button. Damage avoided and parry triggered

You play as the destined one and NOT wukong. The real sun wukong fought 9 Navagraha + 12 zodiacs (the tiger is one of them) + 28 constellations (the lightning dragon lady is one of them) + julingshen (the tallest giant in the opening) + 4 heavenly kings + mother of lightning + father of lightning + luoxuan + nezha (the strongest combatant of the celestial court under free commend) + Pagoda-carrying Heavenly King Li (nezha’s father) + muzha (arguably stronger than nezha) + 100,000 celestial soldier (each one is suppose to be a planet) and more. And wukong beat all of them with NO DIFF, he didn’t even got tired, he was just disappointed that no one could give him a challenge and thought it was funny that they’re making threats to him. The jade emperor had to make an official war summon to erlang (opening boss, the strongest combatant of the court in terms of fighting ability who only answer to jade emperor’s direct official summons). Erlang with his dog fought wukong 300 rounds on equal parts, the jade emperor had to ask Taishang Laojun (the lord above all, founder of Taoism) to sneak attack wukong using his overpowered artifacts. Wukong got captured but no one in the court have a weapon that can harm him so no one could kill him even when he’s sitting still. Eventually wukong got put into Taishang Laojun’s heavenly furnace and they planned to bake wukong into a pellet using the True Fire of Samadhi (the hottest fire in all realms), but it just smoked wukong a little and he gained fire resistance and the eyes to see thru all disguises. After that wukong immediately got out, easily beat everybody again plus more royal guards include the supreme inspector who he fought about 50 round with, and was able to wreck the palace of Lingxiao (even erlang didn’t get that far few thousand years ago when he was avenging his mom). It’s at this point the jade emperor ask RuLai‘s help (Buddha of the present, leader of mt. LingShan). Buddha tricked wukong to stand on his palm (wukong did pee on his hand) and the hand turned into a sealing mountain that crashed wukong for 500 years (he’s punished to only eat solid iron chunks and drink boiling liquified bronze for 500 years) until he’s assigned the role of tang monk’s protector on the journey to the west. Meanwhile the destined one struggle to fight just one of the zodiacs. So anyways, you are not him.

And he’s beyond existence and reality, he has infinite strength and speed, infinite everything, when he became a Buddha he became everything, plus he’s imortal times infinity, and he erased he’s name from the book of death. All this is stated in the original journey to the west. And he’s clones are also infinite in everything strength, speed. hey afro not sure if you knew this but when you do light and heavy attacks in transformation it causes your might to decay even when you swing and miss the enemy it still causes decay. As long as you time the attacks and wait for an opening your transformation will last longer. Hope this helps man. Love the vids

Sorry. But Kratos still getting tossed even with plot armor. Wukong just better and can literally become Kratos. Also same thing with Goku. Small nerd moment. But his transformations copy whatever he’s transforming down to their most unique powers and he has full access to them. He can turn into Goku, use UI, summon his clones, they all turn into Goku with UI and then proceed to put Goku in a blunt. Same thing applies with Kratos. Kratos killing the Gods and become a God was the apex of his story. Wukong killing Gods and becoming a God was the prelude of his story before deciding to seek further heights past godhood.

Its comments like this that make wukong look overrated. Wukong cannot copy any power of whomever he transforms to. People are literally making shit up now. He has 72 specific transformations and can also mimic people and objects appearance, he cannot just copy any power he feels like. If he could he wouldn't need to keep asking other deities for help during his journey to the west. And he would've just transformed to buddha, cloned it a 100 times and beat buddha and just take over heaven. Sun Wukong is incredibly powerful but fans like you are taking it too far.
