Great animation and Story, but quite a few mistakes. Also good choice for using Exile as the music. 1. After Chell escapes, she doesn't have a Portal gun. Her Portal gun was sucked into space along with Wheatley and another core. You can also see as she rises to the surface she has NOTHING in her hands. 2. The companion cube at the end of Portal 2 was burnt, suggesting it was her original one from Portal 1 (The one she was forced to incinerate). 3. The companion cubes and weighted storage cubes aren't that big. Doug Ratman in the LAB RAT comic carrying a companion cube on his back proves how big it really is.

The fact that the Earth is still there at all and in observably good shape topside proves that Gordon Freeman and company must have eventually defeated the Combine. Left unattended, nature takes over. BUT ANYWAY, my money is still on 'trivial plot hole'. Observing the wheat thing was just a minor addendum to my original post, dude. Besides, you really don't think Gordon loses, do you? C'mon now. My prediction that the good guys in Half-Life eventually win isn't exactly bold.

Surely you can see that? - Yes, I remember those elevator-room images explaining the the hard-light bridges. And nothing about them suggests the top-side crops were synthetic. Indeed, how well would fake plants work as public, top-side camouflage for the 'light-tubes' or whatever anyway? Not very. - If a super-powerful, technologically advanced alien empire resolved to commit genocide on a planet rather than occupy and enslave it -- as is surely going to be the Combine's plan of action following the events of Episode 2 (recall City 17's end) -- don't you think they would opt to use the sort of weapons of mass-destruction that would devastate a planet's surface? I'm just speculating, admittedly, but it's the obvious speculation. "Turn the surface to glass" was my allusion to this concept, if that still isn't clear to you.

Ok I want to clear this up! Basically in the most common sense theory, Cave Johnson and Caroline were Chell's biological parents. GLaDOS mentioned Chell being adopted many times therefore; It is BELIEVED that Doug Ratman was Chells adoptive father. But based on things released by valve, we know that it HAD to be a scientist that worked at aperture, probably Doug Ratman. Cave Johnson died and they put Caroline into a computer- Therefore, being GLaDOS. (This is a fact-read the comics made by valve.) Therefore, GLaDOS is Chell's mother, sort of. And for the video, great job!

I loved the symbolism of the Bird and Chell. When Chell finally gets what she's been fighting for, she sees that there's nothing for her anymore in the World, and from what I can tell, the bird looks as if it doesn't realize that her babies are 'dead' or maybe they've left the nest long ago? but either way, that bird comes to terms with the truth and instead of mourning what she's lost, it flies off, determined to survive, and Chell finally realizes that she's stepped into a World she no longer knows, but she's not letting go of her freedom, and she's determined to survive.

I actually seriously believe that there are dead CATS in the boxes (not humans) but perhaps only the older Aperture Science weighted cubes. GLaDOS mentions testing the Schrödinger's Cat theory (can't remember if it was in the game or the comic) by putting cats in the cubes and filling them with neurotoxin. Also, if you catch one of the old weighted cubes covered in blue gel you get an achievement called Schrodinger's Catch.

The reason why Chell is Mute, is because the long period of time of Cyrosleep, which occurs in Portal 1. Now that long period of time in Cyrosleep, as explained AGAIN by Wheatley in Portal 2, can cause Brain Damage. (Might have a little case of serious brain damage - Wheatley). Now the distance between Portal 1 and Portal 2 were like crazy in-game so yeah, thats the reason, and no, she is NOT deaf.

Kaemer() The reason GLaDOS knows her name is because, Aperture Science Innovators and Aperture Science Laboratory (both are different types of enrichment centers, Innovators are the old ones, and laboratories are the modern ones.) has files of which test subject they have ever tested, or ever registered. So yeah, since GLaDOS cant access Innovator's data, she just looks at the file data compiled in her disk, (since she is the Main Core and supervisor of Aperture Laboratories), and check which one matches the picture. And by the way if she got Shot by turrets she wont ever give up, her Tenacity level is 100%, which means she is abnormally stubborn, and never give up literally.

One more theory, is that why she is attached to the Companion Cube so much? Well have you heard about the Companion Cube Emancipation Grill Easter Egg? Well if you Emancipate a Companion cube, and slow down the soundtrack in makes when its being Fizzled, there will be a low voice calling "HELP!". Now my theory is that one of her family, or any of her best friend or any mates, were stuffed inside that ONE SPECIFIC CUBE. Or maybe all of her friends or mates in all the cubes. (We have thousands of those in the warehouse -GLaDOS) Now the reason when it gets fizzled the human body parts doesnt drop from the cube? Well thats because the fizzler only Emancipate the 'Unauthorized Items' Which includes people not related IN ANY WAY to aperture. Which means the body parts. So yeah, thats why its so heavy, and Chell needs the Portal Gun to carry it.

Serdhel Jireh-Lee Papa The National - Exile Vilify. It was specifically writeen for Portal 2, for an easter egg to be found in one of the early GLaDOS test chambers, the one with the two lasers.

My theory of this animation is that when Chell stepped out of Aperture, she noticed the plains and felt a familiarity with it, so when she saw the bird fly past, she decided to follow it to see if it would go where she thought it would. She followed the bird to that house, which only looks like it's been ruined for 5 - 10 years, she walks in, knowing this place was once her past home, the photos on the table inside the house were old photos of her, and the grave outside represents either Chell (her family thinking she was dead), as there is a potato on it (like how she used a potato for the project her dad helped her make for Aperture's "Bring Your Daughter to Work Day"), or it could be Chell's dad, with the potato representing his help to Chell with the project. The bird could represent Chell's mum/dad (so that's why it decides to take the photo of young Chell away with it, why it led Chell to the house, and why it watches over Chell when looking at the desk with the photos and notes), with the broken eggs in the nest representing Chell's dead family. I don't know if that's what this video means, but it's just a theory I had. Oh, and also with Chell being in Aperture for 50,000 years, and the house being destroyed only newly (possible newly), maybe her parent(s) could've been asleep for a long while like Chell?
