There isn't as far as I can tell. Think of a factory that refurbishes equipment. That's basically what the bar is, to determine whether or not a soul is serviceable enough for reincarnation.

Heaven is a joke of a concept when you really think about it. My assumption is the dummies are souls that are impure for reincarnation but will be eternally reused throughout all of time for defective humans born into the world. Basically whenever they need a new blank vessel they pull one from the void and use it. If the blank new vessel can break the cycle of crime or evil then it will become a new soul into the cycle of reincarnation upon death. However due to the near unlimited number of dummies the likelihood of these souls going back into the cycle is extremely small and thus they are trapped for a long period of time.

If someone ran up and beat you to death right now because they absolutely believed they were preventing a terrorist attack in doing so is that an evil action even if it has 0 reflection on reality?

@@if7723 well they should be punished for their wrong assumption, not their moral motive. What I was too lazy to properly explain is that given the method of gleaning the events. You could easily see whether a fatal attack was done by accident, due to self-defense, maliciously or otherwise. So judging based off the actual events is better than the overly emotional, highly inefficient method the assistant tries to take. If anything it's worse. Imagine if your loved one's murderer gets off with an unfairly light punishment cos someone "felt" like they shouldn't be punished. Certain industries require cold pragmatism.
