I heard this one before. Serves her right. Also so many therapists blame the husband when the wife cheats. There people should not be in charge of people's mental health.

They also blame the man when the man cheats. If I was OP, I'd definitely mentionned how she spent the hour blaming him, cause that would be good fuel to know in a character witness. "In my professional opinion, I did find OP cold and unwilling to reconcile the marriage, but I cannot find fault in his personality." "And of all the questions you asked, how manywere directed towards my client? Would it not be more common to focus the questions, at least in equal portion, towards the adulterer? ..... So you spent the hour trying to find fault in my client for the opponent's sake and yet still resulted in finding no fault. No further questions." Surviving a Witch hunt ftw

Can't entirely blame her for saying that, as it is unfortunately true. The real blame should be placed on politicians, feminist activist organizations/coallitions, the government, corporations, and really any and every force out there trying to modify and dictate the dynamics and nature of people's personal lives and relationships. Marriage and divorce should not even be government business.

Marriage court is the most fucked shit ever. Whole system needs to teared down and rebuilt. The fact that you can have all the evidence of cheating and your spouse can just brazenly admit to it and mock you for it but you still have to prove you're reasonable because you're a man and she's a woman is so fucked.

It's because of the situations that come to court marriages where the man is at fault are significantly overrepresented. So pure statistical happenstance has programmed a pattern of default "it's the man's fault" into their brains.

It shows how broken marriage is if a woman can so brazenly say that kind of stuff about how they'll win everything despite being a giant sack of crap. The only reason why OP got out relatively unscathed was because it was an at-fault state. Everywhere else she would be absolutely right, and she would have won despite annihilating the marriage contract. Anyway why are marriages and relationships dying in the west?

Relationships aren't the things dying, it's people not rushing into things so fast. Everyone thinks being in a relationship is the most important thing in the world, so they rush into marriage thinking it'll fix everything. 100 years ago, a woman couldn't divorce her husband without his permission too. It was also much more taboo to do so, even if neither parties were compatible. You'd end up stuck in a loveless marriage, and in many cases one party would even unalive the other. Cases like this are why I think prenups are a good idea no matter how long you've already been together, or how much you love each other. It's just to make sure both you and your partner stay safe if you need to divorce for any reasons.

Getting an advice from divorced women about marriage life is soooo sooooo fking dumb. When they tell you what to do instead of what to avoid, you should know they are just trying to make your life miserable. Worthy advice from people who failed is only when they tell you what should be avoided and what should not be done. If they say what you should do always remind your self they are failed from what they were doing.

@marthajackson1388 12 күн бұрын
@@zdr7420 No, I at least haven't ran into an update other than what was told on this story. But I have ran into a couple of similar stories. One convinced the husband to open a relationship so she can sleep with a supervisor and she overheard him talking down on her. By then though the husband was dating this beautiful Asian woman and didn't want her anymore. Also another colleague cheated with the same supervisor and got pregnant. Lost the child and the amazing long term boyfriend. They outted him at work and people were getting fired. Started the same way flirting and attention, etc. The other same thing and the biggest simp story or one of them. Complete disrespect and insult to her husband because magic awesome supervisor gave her attention and gifts. Three way actions. She is Jewish and he had bang Nazi biker gang members and all kind of things and this one took her back. A teacher gets talked by a freaky coworker to join her and rest of coworkers for group activities mind you they end up doing it in her husband cabin. Multiple divorces, multiple termination, she gets cheated on, he moves on and adopt and had a fiance and she is screaming for him to take her back even as a side chick or have them both and self delete after he refused. Bachelorette party and they invite guys over and she forgets to log off the computer while they upload videos. I can keep going. There a lot of common themes. Those that are unfaithful or disrespectful to your relationship or too promiscuous. Cut them off. Recently on reddit there is basically a woman that was helped to hook up with a married by her sister that is wild and doesn't like her husband. They live in a small town. Now everyone knows and she is getting divorced. She can't have kids and helped raise his little boy for the last five or ten years. Now she is cutting the sister off and got served divorce. Her husband also posted and he has a title like john can have her. Even covering for those affairs get you in trouble. There is a video here and you can look it up on reddit. Fiancee Sarah Evelyn Marty. The story should pop up. Several updates.

I think the better thing to have done would have been to skip the cake and serve the documents to her, HR, her boss and her boss's family in order to completely ruin everything on the other side. I'm sure the lawer suggested it too but clearly he didn't take the advice. Imo, this route would have done way more damage than just an emotional gut jab but this had been ultimately OP's decision to make. Hope things work out well for him in the future.

To tell you the honest truth Instead of blaming the co-workers coworkers for what you did why don't you blame yourself (no op but the wife) your wife is blaming the co-workers because they told her to cheat. But to tell you the truth she should be the same one to blame herself does she allowed them to manipulate her allowed them to push her in the direction of cheating and literally encouraged it. Not only that she decides to listen to them before shutting them down. I understand manipulation can be very hard to see. But you have to understand that she literally listened to them instead of pushing them away. And here's the thing is they don't know your life they don't know what happens at home they don't know what happens in your guys's daily life so why are there sharing their opinions on if you are good husband or not if they don't even know you. You did the right thing if she is so easy to listen to these toxic friends what else will she believe.

The relationship advice she received from divorced women backfired? Well color me shocked!

Let us assume the story is 100% true. It didn't backfire. They wanted her to ruin her marriage, they wanted to bring her down to their level. And it worked. To be clear, I'm not making excuses, the wife is not a victim. Rather my point is that the wife acted like her friends made it seem like she could cheat and that the husband would not leave. I don't think they actually believed this, I think they wanted her to get a divorce like them.
