I gifted these bibles away to viewers of my channel. I won't go into the reason why I had to let them go, it wouldn't lift up the body of Christ. That said when I did so blessings came in from fellow believers. Total strangers began contacting me saying they felt led to send me a bible, it was amazing 😇😭. Jesus confirms in amazing ways, when we listen and obey He is faithful to our obedience. I now have a blue NASB Allan reader , brown ESV Thinline, Cambridge Turquoise and a Large Print Heritage Open Bible expanded edition in mint condition. ..All of those bibles are my most cherished and came in after letting those all go. It was not easy...LOL Right now I just need to make a video to let folks know I haven't walked away from reviewing. Life has been a bit to much for me lately to keep doing videos on a regular basis. Thanks for the suggestion...I might do a video thats kinda like that in the future 😉

A beautiful selection of premium Bibles. They are great for detailed cross reference, to compare and study in each version. I agree completely with you about the Allan Readers Edition and I like its thinner profile, larger clear bold type and amazing Goatskin with Yapps. The Yapps do it for me too. Also I agree with your thoughts about the Allan Wide Margin in Goatskin. It’s wonderful for taking notes in either the wide margins or the lined note paper in the back. The feel of the Goatskin is so amazing too. Schuyler and Premium Crossway Editions are so nice, each having their own finer points and great quality. Sometimes about the extra premium details- like the Yapps that Allan does, just makes it win the tie breaker for me. That’s why I use and read my Allan Bible’s more. All the premium Bible’s mentioned and reviewed are superb and they each have their own great qualities, making them all top of the line premium Bible’s. Got to give a slight edge to my Allan’s- especially the Allan Reader’s Edition and the Allan Wide Margin Edition. I can imagine in Heaven, if the streets are made of Gold (and they are) then the walls must be lined- liked a custom, wooden-made, perfect bookshelf- like the Queen of England has but with a wall of Allan Goatskin and Calfskin and Lambskin Bible’s with many other premium Bible’s with other various premium luxury leathers bound with all French Miller Bible Paper. I can imagine putting out both hands and touching a solid wall of buttery soft premium Bible’s, feeling each unique premium Bible spine as a bed of Bibles, that lines each wall forever. At any time a room will appear- with the most comfy couch and perfectly firm and soft, king size bed- we have ever seen, to really enjoy and read- any Premium Leathered Bible (and my favorite Allan Bible with Yapps) as I recline to read, hold, and study God’s word. I can imagine a king size bed, custom made- with Lambskin leather to look like a huge Allan Spine as the surface of the bed, being so buttery soft with as many million pillows are around with Bible verses on them all. Is this a Bible junkie dream or high? I need to wake up. 📖

Rick Jones Hey brother ...sorry I couldn't remember your name in the vid.😉 Honestly uninspiring, its plain, kind of reminds of that new Holman blocky font it just looks bland. Its the ink, a lot of companies are using a grayish style like you pointed out before. I don't hate the print but its nothing to get excited about. One thing I do not care for is the references all in that square at the bottom of the page, at first I didn't mind it but the more I use the bible I find that frustrating trying to search through a mess. Personally I miss the old Nelson style end of the verse reference system like in the Open Bible, that was always my favorite.

Thanks. Since there aren't any good NKJV wide margin options, I'm considering going to the Crossway ESV. But for me, the typeface is a very important factor.

You mentioned @1:47...the paper was super thin and to be aware that it can tear easily. Can you tell me, in your opinion, which Bible maker has the good gsm 36 paper? I like the Thompson-Chain from Kirkbride. That seems like premium paper to me! Best I can describe is that when you hold the pages up to a light...it will have a gloss shine to it. Like the pages have been dipped in some light wax? lol I'm saying it all wrong, I'm sure! lol Anyways...which bibles have that premium opaque paper? Thanks. 😊 Anyone can chime in their 2 cents, too.

Sure no problem, the Crossway in this video is thin but as for quality its top of the line ... Its a lower gsm than most premiums but still thicker than a Thompson kJV paper. Still like you I love Thompson paper its super crispy and is good for writing in, the crossway thinline has the softest bible paper I've ever seen. Schuyler, Allan, Crossway and Cambridge paper is all premium from 26--38 gsm most places like evangelicabible.com , bibles direct for Allan's and Christian book.com will list the gsm in their description box. Thompson paper is called India paper its my fave, so looking around seeing India paper is a plus😉 Hope this helps.

Any large arts and craft store has them like Hobby Lobby or also places like Staples. You can also order them from Walmart .com which is cheaper. Chritianbook.com has them also.....Just make sure you buy Micron Archival pens😉

I noticed that they’re not selling the R. L. Allen NASB Reader on Evangelicalbible.com do you know why or if they’re going to bring in another batch or an update to that bible? I think I waiting a little to long to purchase one.

David Evangelicalbible has been out for a long time, Biblesdirect.com is Allan's store site they also have been out. Allan operates like Cambridge far as I know, they make them in batches so each release is truly unique. Sometimes they use CharfleetBookbinding and Jongbloed two good binders, the last batch was done by Jongbloed I had one which I recently let go of. It was very nice but I like the blue better than the brown and and if I had picked it out myself I would have loved their blue gild silver line editions. You can contact Bibles Direct and get the next release date, for now I haven't heard anything on when they will be back. I have to say the Allan reader and just Allan period has become my favorite premium bible publisher, they just have a classic feel and look about them, other than Church Bible Publishers I won't buy a kJV bible anywhere else. As for the NASB, the reader wins hands down! I hope you can find one.

Sorry im not sure what ya mean, the two Allan's in this vid or something I said in the video? The bibles in this video I gave away but one was the Allan Clerandon WM and Allan Nasb reader. At the time I remember I was thinking of getting a small Clerandon 7C at tge time which I do have now but the wide margin I gifted to a pastor. Those Nasb reader editions are the best bibles I've ever had come through my hands its my highest recommendation after seeing many many...many bibles, its top dog.

Airik1111 I love to study the origin of scripture. I use more than the bibles I listed but those are my 3 main ones. I get a lot of criticism for studying the bible, I'm actually Agnostic. I don't follow many bible review channels on here. But really enjoy your reviews. It was through watching your reviews I purchased an ESV. So I really am a fan of your channel 😉. And I'll keep studying no matter what anyone says.

These were beautiful bibles they went to new homes and blessed multiple people instead of just me... BUT I do still have others like these. Allan bibles are my favorites I love the yapps and nobody does it better.

Schuyler (Sky-ler) makes an outstanding Bible. The quality and craftsmanship is unsurpassed. In my opinion it even beats R. L. Allan and Cambridge (although all 3 are excellent). I especially like the larger print (11 point milo font--which is great for my poor eye-sight). And I like the thickness of the paper--prevents bleed-through from writing or high-lighters. I have the KJV and the ESV (Firebrick red goatskin--which is absolutely gorgeous). I am sold in Schuyler bibles. I think they make the best bible that money can buy (and believe me I have a ton of bibles from numerous publishers). I just wish Schuyler made a full-yapp bible. I would buy it in a Nano-second.

You were mentioning in the Crossway ESV bible how the print breaks up. The Cambridge also does that. When we spend so much on a bible that's not acceptable.

The Cambridge Clerandon wide margin has some words that have slight breaks because it's from an older stamping plate print. I don't remember the ESV ever having any broken words, the only con with the ESV is thin paper but its a great bible . The only print issue I can remember with the ESV is that its not very bold print. No bible is perfect but they are very nice and worth the money if a person wants to go that route. I gave all these bibles away so I can't look at them now but I'm pretty sure it was the Allan I was talking about, its been awhile since I did that video 😉 Thanks for watching.

Its the ultimate kJV reference bible IMHO and in awesome red letter, evangelicalbible.com has two special exclusive colors blue and brown. The print is amazing and I can't think of a better kJV to own😍

I absolutely love my RL Allan bible. The yapp is what did it for me. I have a cambridge that I like but so love both my RL Allan bibles. I have the wide margin and the brevier to take as my travel bible. I have looked at the Schuyler bibles, but them not having a yapp and then I don't much care for the stamped in cross on the front, I would rather it be plain or just Holy Bible, just my preference. However, they look beautiful, just haven't loved it enough to purchase one. Think I will stick with my Allan's. I also have several CBP bibles which are also awesome, but nothing like the premium bibles they just feel so different when you are holding it to read....I know that is not whats important about a bible, its the contents, the Word of God, however it does motivate me to read my bible more having one that I love and appreciate so much and because of the cost, it was a purchase I thought about for a long time before I purchased the two Allan's I have. I got the wide margin and the brevier because of them being companion bibles. That has helped me so much, having two bibles that match by the page numbers. So It has made it easier when going to specific verses when trying to explain or show someone something about God's Word. Thank you for your review.
