What a blessing to have prepared ahead of time with the building of your storm shelter. Great to hear your animals and most of your plants did OK but it's also sad that there was loss of life. Hopefully the worst of this storm system is past and that tonight will be calmer.

Glad to see you and family are fine. Storm shelters are wonderful and highly recommended. They are a blessing in times of severe wind also, those trees can come down without a tornado. Nice seeing the tomatoe delivery and meeting a new friend. God bless

When the ground is saturated with rain it doesn't take a tornado to uproot trees. Tornados can't snap the tree and leave the stumps in the ground. Stronger construction really helps prevent damage to buildings. I'll always remember the tornado that hit Joplin a few years ago. Virtually nothing can protect against that type of storm.

We had some severe weather and flooding in Eldon, MO. 2 holes in the greenhouse, all the topsoil in our lower garden was washed out. Some of the mustard greens got pretty beat up but no serious losses in glad to see yall are fine and blessed.

You both look too good for people that were in and out of a tornado shelter! So glad you're greenhouse wasn't damaged. All your baby plants! We had just part of a tree come down recently and it caused damage to fence, compost bin, mini chicken coop, and our tiny 4x6 greenhouse. It just landed in a bad spot. Wind is NOT my thing! Keep on keeping on. Love you - I recommend your channel to other homesteaders.

Takes me back about 35 years, having a 2 story home with my sister and her family in Umpqua, OR. in the mountains and forest and with a creek. We grew vegetables, fruit, had a horse called Danny boy, cow, goat, lambs, rabbit lots of chicken with a crazy rooster, geese, and ducks, beside dogs and cats and all the wild animal's. Enjoyed your video much and glad all this good. Have a great Palm Sunday and maybe with some prayers my wife and I will be able to buy a home in Ozark this year. Take care.

A tornado hit my small town a few weeks ago. No loss of life, but lots of damage. Many houses were totally destroyed. One of the car dealerships took a direct hit from the tornado. Half of the building was turned into rubble and lots of new cars were tossed about, along with the owner's collection of vintage motorcycles...which he had stored in that part of the building. Glad you folks made it through the night unscathed.

What a blessing that your family and farm was spared by the severe weather. Unfortunately tornadoes are common in your area. I had tried to farm in Brainerd, MN back in the mid 90's. Land was reasonable, but my nerves couldn't take the unstable weather. Came home to NH. I am envious of your early growing season. We are currently cold & wet on the New Hampshire farm...your green house is amazing!

We have just finished up the last of the damage yesterday from a F0 tornado that came through our yard last July. We had created a food forest with huge upper story trees as the foundation. We no longer have any large trees and the root base on the Sycamore weighted in at 16,000 lbs giving you and idea of how large that particular tree was. We also lost 9 fruit trees. It's taken time, but we have since created a beautiful permaculture garden where there once was shade. Our motto is "There are no problems, only solutions". So glad you didn't suffer any damage.

I'd thought the storm shelter was unnecessary, but it's obviously a good thing to have. So glad you had one, even if this time, it was only for comfort. Such a relief too that all your animals are okay, especially those extra happy duck. Except for the hail damage, the plants will be happy with the extra rain and more sun.
