Personally, I can't even fathom that level of greed and deceit. When my grandmother needed our help, several generations of our family rallied around her. Everyone had a hand in taking care of her, including our children. They were very young at the time, but when my husband and I helped with shopping, their little job was to see to it that she had just the right spice drops for her candy jar. They took that job very seriously, and learned first hand how family takes care of each other.

After everything Natalie tried to do to get the money I'm not surprised that she had someone on call to try to scare grandma into signing everything to her. Nor running away the second she other people coming to the room. Nor am I surprised that she tried to lie to her son, then beg him to help her and side with her despite everything she's done.

@@JamalAnderson-gp5hf unfortunately, I can. My mom's brother was going to put his mom in a nursing home to get all of her money to himself and narcissist wife. The wife even tried to take over my grandmother's house and my great uncle's house, who she now hates because he kicked her out once she tried to take over. My mom and I, right after I graduated from high school, immediately went to New Mexico to get grandma to live with us the second we heard what her brother and wife were trying to do and boy, were they PISSED once they came back from a small vacation that grandma was now living with us so they didn't get what they wanted. I know for a fact the narcissist witch holds a grudge against us for that and actually demanded apologies for "mistreatment" and "abuse" aka denying her what she wanted. Then she forced my mom's brother into disowning my mom, over text, when she didn't get any apologies.

Cameras are the things you put in place BEFORE bad things are attempted... when things are good... install cameras. I have cameras and I have installed a few at my parents place. Seriously people... cameras are cheap now. If you are broke you can get the first 1 for about $6 plus a memory card and the app is free in one month and keep on tacking them on as you can afford them.

It wasn’t long before the Family Vultures showed up after my Mom died..I was only 14. They started pointing to stuff (not just my Mom’s things but mine & my brother’s stuff too!) and arguing over Who had “More Rights” to them. Well…my Mom knew who her family was & had written a Simple “Will”, witnessed by our neighbor who was a lawyer..it was 1 sheet, with 1 sentence..”My Children Get EVERYTHING”. So..being the Princess of Petty that I was (and still am when warranted), I talked my older brother into letting Me deal with Mom’s stuff…..with the exception of Personal & Sentimental items, it ALL got Donated to my Mom’s Church!!! Her Car, Clothes, Kitchen Items…Vultures Got ZIP, NADA, NOT A DAMN THING!

Watch out for her. I don't buy it for a second that he was the mastermind. She was the one who got the drugs, she was the one, alone, with the grandmother for a few months and started giving her the drugs the day after the funeral and made sure no one was able to visit for months. No I am not saying he isn't a douche bag but it makes more sense that she planned everything and even initiated the affair to cuck the douche bag into tapering with the car and killing her husband and am willing to bet that if her plan had worked, she would have sold everything and left the idiot behind with nothing and wouldn't have put it past her to send evidence of the affair to his wife !

I'm with op over taking care of her grandma. I was my grandmother's caretaker along with my mom, her daughter, for nearly six years before I finally went to college. The college was literally nextdoor to our house but she passed away, from cancer, a month after my first semester started. Then covid hit right afterwards.

Op is probably right, her uncle’s accident wasn’t one, unfortunately they can’t prove it unless someone confesses. Thank goodness op and her cousin saved her grandma.

Usually that's the case in these things. Thee was a story that the dad mysteriously died by a chemical spilled on him and in the end the evidence was found that it was the stepmom that planned it all to get everything for herself. She even tried to take the house when it was willed to op. Plus got together far too quickly with another guy and when she got kicked out she tried to trash the house in retaliation. But she added more charges being pressed against her and caused the evidence to be found.

I had an aunt like that -- by marriage, not by blood. She thought that having married into my family meant she had a right to everything we had. She had stolen from my Grandmother for fifty years, and when the elder lady died, she stole from my father until HE died. Then, she had an "estate sale" in which she auctioned off the entirety of the family heirloom and antiques my grandmother had been keeping for distribution to the rightful heirs. When it comes to the level people will sink to when trying to get their grubby hands of someone else's inheritance, there just IS no bottom.

I had to turn this one off. My cousin, my grandparents oldest granddaughter did this to our family. Started a Ponzi scheme, sold off millions of dollars of our inheritance for personal gain. And she may have killed my grandparents as well after moving them away from NY. To this day I don’t know where their bodies are. Erika Rae Brown, If you’re reading this, you are a horrible and morally bankrupt human being. Despite all of the abuse and stealing from our family, I forgive you. You don’t need to make it up to me but you need to make it up to your uncle and cousins who were homeless after you sold their homes from under them.

My wife was raised in a very disfunctional family and she had a lot to learn about real family love after I met her. One thing she was adamant about was her belief that family will screw you over faster then anyone. Add real money to the picture and I can imagine how cut throat they could be... this story just goes to show you.

If anybody were to come anywhere near my gradmother they would suffer from a couple of extra 9mm holes. I wouldnt let them close enough to touch her bed and Natalie wouldnt get close enough either. Grandma could have gotten severely injured from her trying to force her to sign. People like that deserve to go to the deapest darkest hole closest to hell. Elder abuse? It should have been attempted murder. They would have needed more than her signature as well. They would need a notary and witnesses unless they can prove she wrote it in her own hand writing. They need a self proving affidavid and witnesses that arent related to that person. Not alway easy just to force sombody to sign a paper without a couple of witnesses. I worked in many hospitals and even medical professionals can't be a wibness. If it were that east all sorts of greedy people would be forcing the elderly to sign over their lives.

OP's grandmother probably has a family lawyer. OP should call and tell the lawyer what is going on and check into this old age home - probably corrupt. OP should also contact the Police and let them know about the pills, and what the pharmacy said. OP needs to put in security camera's with audio recording in case Natalie tries something else. Ah, good - OP did install a security camera. Once they found the other culprit was the uncle, I'd have looked more into the aunt's husbands death. Was it an accident?
