They need to allow the use of body cams as evidence and stop allowing officers to turn off / on body cams at will . Also when requested video of said crimes against officers . There should not be any redacted information criminalizing the officer

It was winter of 2023 and a very unusually windy day. A policeman pulled me over. He had no breathalyzer with him and told me he thought i was on drugs. On the side of the road, he forced me to touch my feet together (and I have knock knees, so I can't do it without becoming wobbly), and it was cold, windy, and raining and i didn't have a sweater so it was freezing. He talked to me like I was a criminal - so rudely. They put handcuffs on me, impounded my car, and took me to the police station and 3-4 hours later - after every kind of test they could give me - they let me go and told me they knew i was innocent because I passed every test. A week later, i got a letter that told me my license was being suspended. I had to hire a lawyer just so i could drive my car to work. The lawyer sent me a bill for $2500 a short time later. It took 6 months for the police department to release the case, and finally let me know I was off the hook. No skin off of their back. This all affected my fingerprint status which my job called me about and i had to prove to them i was innocent. My car insurance went way up. And it was all a lie!! I AM A SINGLE WOMAN WITH VERY LITTLE MONEY AND THIS WAS AWFUL!! A $2500 lawyer bill for being 100% innocent. The police shouldn't be allowed to TRAUMATIZE INNOCENT CITIZENS - and take six months to rectify it. And I believe this was all because the policeman had to prove his numbers - meet his quota so he picked me out. Eeny MEANY miny moe. Catch a sucker by the toe.
