Watching your videos again have been very refreshing. Foundation is just to soothe out your skin so the tone is even and any open pores are made to look smaller/blurred. I use a mattifying one because I have oily skin. I find foundation acts as a barrier against pollution too and ky face doesn't itch so much when I wear it (I have eczema). Foundation gives an even base on which to apply the rest of my makeup. It's like: my skin, but better and helps to stop my makeup melting off. I love your finished look ❤❤❤

As someone who was born and raised in England I have to agree that the winters are absolutely miserable. This winter I think it has stopped raining for about 6 days overall. And I do agree quality of life, especially since brexit, has plummeted! But it has its redeeming qualities too, the beautiful scenery, and right to roam, make it worth living here for me.

I saw a girl on tiktok talking about water based vs silicon based foundation, primers, and etc. I think you might like a water based one. besides it giving you a more dewy look which I feel like would fit your vibe the most (just my opinion obvs) I’ve read it’s better for dry and sensitive skin. cyclopentasiloxane is the ingredient usually listed 1st or 2nd that you’ll know it’s silicone. I have pretty dry skin myself and hated wearing foundation cause I felt like the more “matte” I looked the crustier I looked. So I believe the silicone was just drying out my skin even more

I have wavy hair and a fringe, and when my fringe wants to stand out I usually rinse my hand in hot water, dry it and then just put my hand over the fringe roughly how I want it to sit. The heat from the hot hand will help it set, and it's much faster than using a curler or a brush.

Foundation is used to even out our skin but you have such beautiful skin already. ✨ Maybe it can serve to make the makeup you put on top to last longer? Have you noticed that? If not, it's probably a step you don't have to do unless you want to. 😊

Hello! I'm not a super makeup expert. But personally putting on foundation for me is more like evening out my skin tone and setting a base for the rest of my makeup. I've got combo skin, so if I don't put on some sort of foundation (even if it's like a tinted moisturizer or BB/CC cream) my skin just melts off the rests of my makeup lol. So I think of the foundation as more of a barrier that lets me build the rest of my products on top of. I've heard from friends that foundation also 'smoothes' their skin out? like gives it that blur filter effect.

I’m so curious to hear you speak all the languages you know! We only hear your English and Japanese but never Swedish or I think I remember you saying you were middle eastern so do you also speak that? I find it all so interesting! I’m an American that only knows English which is a bore I try to learn Japanese and Korean but I don’t have any friends that’s speak the language and being I only speak one and I’m 30 it doesn’t stick 😢

you get a little bit of her Swedish speak in her IKEA video! also a tip for the language learning- if possible, try and look at KZbin comments sections or social media in general in the language you wanna learn. that might help you get a casual understanding of what words are common and how they're used :D

From memory (so someone correct me if I'm wrong) she speaks or understands some Kurdish (both her parents are Kurds from Iraq (unless it was Iran?) and moved to Sweden before she was born) but I think she's said she's lost most of it due to lack of use and was never fluent anyway. I don't think I've ever heard her speak it on video. She rarely speaks Swedish in videos and has also said she's losing some of it too from lack of use. There was a vlog a while ago where she meets up with a new Swedish acquaintance and they speak a little bit in Swedish but I don't remember which video exactly. They were with another friend who doesn't understand Swedish and obviously didn't want to exclude them so there's only a few Swedish sentences. So she's fluent in Swedish and English, seems to be pretty fluent, at least conversationally, in Japanese and I can't confirm her Kurdish level. Those are all the languages she speaks that she's mentioned on social media (that I know of. Whilst I watch all her yt videos, I've reduced my time spent on instagram and no longer have twitter). Gods, I feel a bit like a stalker now knowing this much. I've just followed her since....around 2016 maybe? Not since the very beginning of her channel but within the first year I think and she's basically the only "japan vlogger" I've kept up with. But that's probably bc Japan isn't her main shtick, she just lives there.
