Ram Dass first went to India in 1967. He was still Dr. Richard Alpert, a prominent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer with Dr. Timothy Leary. He continued his psychedelic research until that fateful Eastern trip in 1967, when he traveled to India. In India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, who gave Ram Dass his name, which means “servant of God.” Everything changed then - his intense dharmic life started, and he became a pivotal influence on a culture that has reverberated with the words “Be Here Now” ever since. Ram Dass’ spirit has been a guiding light for three generations, carrying along millions on the journey, helping to free them from their bonds as he works through his own.
Since 1968, Ram Dass has pursued a panoramic array of spiritual methods and practices from potent ancient wisdom traditions, including bhakti or devotional yoga focused on the Hindu deity Hanuman; Buddhist meditation in the Theravadin, Mahayana Tibetan, and Zen Buddhist schools, and Sufi and Jewish mystical studies. Perhaps most significantly, his practice of karma yoga or spiritual service has opened up millions of other souls to their deep, yet individuated spiritual practice and path. Ram Dass continues to uphold the boddhisatva ideal for others through his compassionate sharing of true knowledge and vision. His unique skill in getting people to cut through and feel divine love without dogma is still a positive influence on many people from all over the planet.

"Freedom is just another word for Nothing Left to Lose."- The lady i first heard those words from is truly free, because she is dead. I had no real bills, no spouse, no children. I was more "free" than most but at the same time more miserable and lonely because... who honestly will give a shit when you have nothing worth living for. Now i have the spouse, children, and Mortgage to keep them protected. I have traded the lonely misery of "true freedom" for an even harder misery of debt slavery and unconditional love that causes me to devote my existence now to providing for others... who ironically claim how "free" they are in the USA while eating my food, using my hot water, and sleeping under my roof. your quote just sounds nice, but it is just a rally call that can be summed up in a Mel Gibson movie... you know, the one where his face is painted blue...

During a ketamine session I had back in January (2022), I had a full blown entheogenic experience. This video sort of reminds me of that trip. Idk for sure but I believe I went all the way down into the void. The void felt like pure awareness, no forms, nothing, and my person didn't exist. In fact what we consider self and living didn't even translate down there. I couldn't recall being a person, I couldn't recall anything of this universe. I was just there. Pure being. 💓💓💓💓🌹🌹🌹🌹 Really enjoyed listening to Ram's words. Thank you for sharing this video.

@@Lullabybabyzzz These sort of feelings like enjoyable, pleasurable, painful..etc, didn't translate there. You just are. I woke up screaming and crying for my mom. And for a brief second, I didn't know what a mom was. 😂 Being in that state isn't even really an experience. We as humans are constantly fascinated with our experiences and we want to have them all the time. But I say, it's all part of the grand illusion, Maya. It's not the truth. ❤

A story all about YOU ! The story of David and Goliath, as depicted in the Bible, is often interpreted as a metaphorical battle between good and evil, HUMANITY.. ( YOU ) with David representing the underdog , the anti hero... the person that doesnt know that christ is inside him\her............fighting against a formidable opponent. When exploring this story through a Kabbalistic perspective and incorporating Neville Goddard's teachings, we can delve into a deeper understanding of its spiritual significance. In Kabbalah, the concept of God is often portrayed as an infinite and transcendent force, encompassing all of creation. The false gods mentioned in this context refer to any limited or distorted beliefs or concepts that humans may idolize or worship instead of recognizing the true divine essence within themselves and all of creation. These false gods can take various forms, such as material possessions, ego-driven desires, or societal constructs that promote separation and illusion. David, in this interpretation, symbolizes the Christ consciousness or the divine essence within every individual. He represents the recognition of one's inherent divinity and the willingness to align with and express that divinity in the world. Goliath, on the other hand, represents the false gods or illusions that obstruct the realization of one's true spiritual nature. Neville Goddard, a prominent teacher of New Thought philosophy, emphasized the power of imagination and the creative capacity of the human mind. According to his teachings, our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality, and by consciously directing our thoughts towards the realization of our desires, we can manifest them in our lives. In the context of David and Goliath, Neville Goddard's teachings can be seen as a reminder of the transformative power of our inner consciousness. David's victory over Goliath can be understood as the triumph of divine consciousness over the illusions of the world. By aligning with the truth of their divine nature and using the power of imagination, individuals can overcome their personal Goliaths, the false gods that inhibit their spiritual growth and fulfillment. This interpretation suggests that the battle between David and Goliath is not an external conflict between two individuals, but an internal struggle within each person's consciousness. It emphasizes the importance of recognizing and challenging the false gods or limiting beliefs that hinder one's spiritual evolution and the realization of their true potential. In summary, when examining the story of David and Goliath through a Kabbalistic lens and incorporating Neville Goddard's teachings, we can perceive it as a metaphorical representation of the eternal battle between the Christ consciousness within us and the false gods or illusions that separate us from our divine nature. By cultivating a deep understanding of our inherent divinity and harnessing the power of our thoughts and imagination, we can transcend limitations and manifest a life aligned with our true spiritual essence.

No, it's an ugly message. It's secretly nihilism. You are being deceived. You are not the Creator. Spirit is not energy, energy has mass and is part of material reality. Not when you blindly follow a religion like Christianity and Islam. You know "how to be" only when you detach yourself from these dogmas. It's a good start for you. Follow Dharma and set yourself free. Don't stop the self enquiry. Religion teaches not to think and not to self enquiry. Dharma teaches to enquire the self..

This has to be one of my favorite videos here on KZbin. I want to deeply thank you for making these. Keep spreading the words of love, keep spreading knowledge and awareness! I feel gratitude for the fact that I live in this exact time where we have limitless access for this type of content. Sure it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming and it - as everything in life - has it's downsides. But if you look closely enough, it is a true blessing. It's so beautiful how we meet each other here in this moment, in this lifetime and are able to share something like this even though we don't personally know each other. What a fascinating time we live in.

Sorry to bump your old comment, but my friend also just commented on how i never get impatient while waiting, or else it takes a very very long time. And he said he couldnt understand how i did it, and i didnt have an immediate answer for him. But truly your coming and going is nowhere but where you are, and you just are. Isnt it? be here now and be in peace and grace. 💞

My favorite thing about this is how hard i smiled when I answered his question with the same thing that he did at the same time....he said "look again into the other person's eyes and tell me what you see - you see yourself" 👀 and I knew he would say that. Loved this
