Don’t get me wrong, Torreira is a great player. We want him to stay but I see a lot of fans panicking about Torreira leaving. Come on guys we’ve lost the likes of Rambo and Santi for nothing. If we get huge money for him (>60m, that’s a huge money but if Wan Bissaka can cost more than Zaha then everything is possible) then there’s no problem letting him leave because at the moment we need money to sign quality players and guys like Bielik and Chambers can play at his position (He is not irreplaceable).But, it would be great to sell some other poor players like Elneny, Mustafi, Mkhi, Kolasinac to get funds!!!

Var is good if used correctly. It should be used for goals, offsides, pens and red cards or second yellows. Only downfall i see is its a 3 person perspective on the situation. That exact same scenario will have different outcomes with different var assistants. That for me is the biggest downfall.

The rule change on the keeper (along with the kicker of the penalty rule) was changed in the the 2016/17 (I believe), when the major changes came in, such as being able to pass back from a KO. What this season's (2019/20 Law's of the Game, which came into being on the 1st Jun, just clarified the GK rule more clearly. What the major difference is, is VAR is now used to check the possible offence. However, what this means is that we are now talking inches, if not millimetres, in coming off the line, and not something that is obvious. I believe this will destroy the spirt of the game. Happened with Nigeria keeper against France, with Scotland, though that was more obvious. I'm for VAR, but not for everything, such as checking for offences in the PA, obvious offside that lead to a goal or stopping a goal, and to check for the wrong players being given cards.

couldnt disagree more with calude and ty on the VAR and Neville/Scott thing. VAR worked brilliantly, it showed the incidents clearly and ruled out and gave goals that shouldnt and should have been given respectively. What was wrong was the quality of the ref who had zero control over the game and any competent official could have done better. You cant teach a dog to use an iphone, that doesnt make the iphone useless. Neville was then only asked about the conduct of the opposition because it was what separates that game from any other and its what the viewers wanted to hear about. These incidents include spitting which never occurred during the Arsenal vs United game where technology wasnt even available to right the wrongs of the ref. VAR works fine its those that use it which need fixing
