The Agach-Kumuz is a traditional lute played mainly by the Kumyks in Dagestan. It is related to many other caucasian boat shaped lutes like the avar Tambur, the adygean Apa Pschina or the chechen Dechig Pondar.
It has a high cultural value and is played solistic as well as for accompany singing.
