I have question regarding to the terminology used in the videos. It is often said that after certain move we have completely new game. I would like to specify, if the move order matters. For example, If in imaginary situation first game is started 1. e4 e5 2.d4 d5 and second game is started 1.e4 d5 2.d4 e5. After the moves presented earlier the position in second game is already known from first game, but the move order leading to the position is not familiar. Do we have a new game in this situation and if we do in which point? Also can game be turned back to known one? Lets say that our imaginary games would be identical after move 2. would we have a new game? ps. Thank you for great content!
@thinboxdictator67202 жыл бұрын
I bet e4 e5 Bb5 a6 Nf3 Nc6 Ba4 never happened in this move order, but it would transpose to stuff played for hundreds of years now. Of course transposition matters.
@valikadilnik43682 жыл бұрын
I think the order matters (as long as the game doesnt transpose in another opening - ex. if 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 and 4. Bd4 then you transpose into italian game, even tho bishop move was one move later than in normal italian). But to be exact, it is a new game when the move played has never been played before, bc if you go into endgames there are plenty of same endgames even if those were completely differemt games
@phenix24032 жыл бұрын
That wouldn't be a new game, thats a transposition (different move order to reach the same position)
@preparedsurvivalist22452 жыл бұрын
Kinda sucks when you pass up the clear advantage of ruining the opponents castling privilege by trading queens early, because you don't want to enter an endgame with a more skilled player. But then you still find yourself in the endgame with him and your now down a pawn somehow.

Interesting to see the levels of strategy that exist in chess. "This is objectively the best move, but if you play it, you will be playing an endgame against Magnus Carlsen" Then we get into "you know this, and Carlsen knows that you know this, ..." Perhaps the most extreme example of this sort of thing is the Botez Gambit, where you "blunder" your queen, thereby creating the possibility of dirty flagging your opponent.

@rahulgeboy4312 жыл бұрын
2:31 You're not low level. I will try to explain, there might be mistakes though 1) Knight takes Knight d4, pawn takes Knight d4, if Bishop e3 takes the pawn then the Bishop on g7 can take the Bishop on d4 and it will be losing 2) Knight takes Knight d4, pawn takes Knight d4, if pawn c3 takes the pawn, then queen will be hanging 3) Knight takes Knight d4, pawn takes Knight d4, if white plays a non capture move, the pawn on d4 will be a thorn to the white side That is why this line is not played, I hope u understand
