@@ButterMoney-ql8hk well, you do because you can convey all sorts of absurdities in a movie and it still feels good or right. Just that it does not work like that in reality. Here they captured some essential things: a strategy to break through a block, or to pause and go another way.

Women's volleyball focuses on where they place it and theyre very delicate with every play , hence why its so elegant , yet obviously nothing beats smashing a ball over the block or breaking through the block , but yeah basically i think this video tries to show you that its okay to use both and even if thinking about placement might let the other team pick it up easier , you need to trust your teamates because the point you'll make isnt from you , its from all 6 six of you who worked to keep the ball up.

As a Volleyball player, this has been refreshing witnessing such great storytelling, camera work, characters, creativity, message, and dialogue in a video about Volleyball and a life lesson. As a player, I always searched for meaning and life lessons from Volleyball, but as a setter I never took spiking seriously, so this was a breath of fresh air.

I was recently interested in volleyball, and I had no idea that there would be a short film about it 😅 It's such an amazing sport, you guys nailed it!

As a volleyball player, a couple things come to mind about this. First, I don't know any quality player who ever tries to hit "through" a double or triple block. You are always taught to avoid the block. Second, I've said since I first started playing ball that most men try to hit as hard as possible because they want to finish the point now ... even if that means they mishit it 5 feet out of bounds. A woman will do their best to keep the ball in play and try not to make a mistake.

Things like this always make me want to go back and play again. I played in HS on JV for boys sophomore and junior year. I didn’t go back senior year because 1. Most of my teammates weren’t supportive and 2. I didn’t feel I was good enough as a Setter. I was always overthinking and ruined my own play. I got replaced halfway through junior year season by an underclassman, no shade to him he was admittedly better than me but could become self centered,then I eventually got a minor concussion and couldn’t play). I really do miss this sport but where I live has clubs that are either too expensive, far away, or both. I’m a freshman in community college now and I always think back on how I should have, or should go back. Either as a Setter or Middle. This was longer than intended but there’s my thought

To me an effective shot will be as difficult to execute as a hard driven spike hoping to break the blocker in the situation hitter need to face three men block though (the ball must be coming from behind, due to imperfect recieved, which is why there are three blockers waiting) And im not very confident in hitting ball coming behind while being aware of opponents' block and floor defence . My personal decision would be swing hard to the opposite corner direction, less likely to get roofed as not hitting it down, and might hit the finger along the way for touch out or went over the blocker as hitting long. Even if blocked, since not hitting it down, more likely to be saved and recycled.

As semi pro in the beggining knew that he had to hit in the deep angle(even if ball would touch a block it will ricochet to out) alternative aproach the way he wanted to break it with just a power he anyway shall to hit on the line the high and hard that he can and pointing it to outer left of the corner blocker
