@@pseudonayme7717 That could be, though I doubt any overt monetary exchange is required for actions of this kind. The key there is to notice that there is a cult dynamic at work. A big reason for nurturing a cult in the first place is the blind obedience divorced from conscious expectations of earnings in its followers. In any cult, rewards can be purely social (though, it is true that an individual's raised status in the cult can also produce monetary value via commerce from increasing one's social connections, but I digress). Usually, the social cue alone is enough for action. Another example would be mass retweets by right-wingers of the latest social outrage committed by 'the left'. I doubt many conservatives are being paid outright to do that either, but they do it anyway.

Same with atheists. You’ll see if you point out to them that the One True God is the Logic of the Universe (the logically irrefutable Universal Logic) and that a proper understanding of the universe and/or a logical interpretation of the Torah reveal this truth. Then they start denying that Logic exists and is necessary to follow (if we want to be logical and not suffer hellish waking nightmares for our incoherence). Try it and you’ll see that the “other side” who claims to believe in science and Logic only follow that system of belief so much before they abandon it and have to deny the Logos (Logic) to continue deny the existence of God and the need to follow the laws of Reason (God’s laws).

The earth moves 18 miles per second around the sun ... it spins on its Axis at a 24 hr pace ...sort of ... its more like 23.6 hours... science just rounds up....
@stalinlovsciafbifakemsmzio6674 Жыл бұрын
Speed is relative. But we’re traveling/spinning/ revolving on our axis about a thousand something mph in the 24 /23.6 hours, and 66, thousand miles an hour to ORBIT the Sun, the sun is moving relative to other stars, etc, ad nauseam. But there’s gravity “etc”, and they’re still wrong. [540 thousand mph as a solar system, and a MILLION miles an hour - light speed, in relation to the background noise of space- lots of mass here, and they are STILL wrong]
@Bonez0r Жыл бұрын
Then where did the idea of an 'hour' come from? We took the time it takes for the Earth to rotate once around its axis (relative to the sun, so from noon to noon) and divided that by 24 and called that length of time an hour. Where did you get the 23.6 from? I did find that Earth's rotation is slowing down because of tidal deceleration, but that only makes a day (an entire day) 2 milliseconds longer at most, compared to a 19th century day, the period when the hour was invented and defined.
@fightnwoids2514 Жыл бұрын
i just used 23.6 as a place holder for the actual complex infinite calculation .. because the earth is forever in motion and never perfect ... my point was... its not actually 24 hours... and throughout our history we have.... and will again lose actual full days based on our perception of the 24 hour day and readjust our calendars accordingly

@exquisitedoomlapointe185 Жыл бұрын

@Bonez0r Жыл бұрын
There are plenty of videos of astronauts playing with liquids in the Space Shuttle and probably the ISS as well where you can see water sticking to itself and forming floating balls in zero G. But that's not the same force that keeps water on the Earth's surface. Water sticks to Earth because Earth is massive enough to have a relatively strong gravity. Something like a tennis ball has very little gravity, and instead cohesion and adhesion between molecules play a bigger role in the behavior of water in zero G.
@markusstewart9298 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think so, unless you had a “gravity machine”. Gravity is always pulling toward the center of the Earth, so you would need to have the ability to replicate that on your globe. As I’m writing this, I’m thinking maybe the only real way to do it would be using Ferro Fluid, with a strong magnet in the Center of your Globe 🤷♂️ which would only be a visual representation and not a literal representation of gravity.

The Flynn Effect describes how IQ levels have been going up since we started recording them (surprisingly). They have to constantly recalibrate them so that 100 = exactly average compared to others. Flynn did a TED talk explaining why, and he says the main difference is our ability to think abstractly, particularly the ability to entertain strange hypothetical ideas. _For example: Polar bears are white to blend in with snow. If snow was purple, what color would polar bears be?_ Most of us would easily say purple. A moron would say, "I've never seen purple snow before, wtf are you talking about? What a dumb question. You're dumb." FlatEarthDave is exactly that kind of moron. The simplest hypotheticals just sail in through one ear and out the other without registering on his empty face. 1)How does the ISS exist in the Thermosphere (2700°F) despite being made of aluminum? 2)Why does the moon obey Earth's gravity but ignore the Sun's? 3) How does a plane take off from Canada and catch up to a runway in Mexico that is spinning 500mph faster than the one the plane took off from? 4) If Mercury and Venus are between the Earth and Sun, how are they ever visible in the night sky since we'd have to look in the direction of the sun to see them? 5) 1017mph at the equator, and just rotation at the poles...how is life not noticeably different from a weight/gravity perspective between these two places? 6)Why do Southern hemisphere to Southern hemisphere flights frequently require Northern hemisphere layovers and/or fuel stops? 7)Why no Southern Polaris? 8)Why no Southern Lights? 9) Why no 24hr Antarctic sun? 10)If the earth spins at about 1670 kilometers per hour, and travels 1.6 million miles through space a day, rotating around the sun moving 10.1 million miles a day, in a solar system rotating around our galaxy's center black hole at 515,000 mph, with our galaxy moving about 300 kilometers per second, heading towards the andromeda galaxy at 300,000 mph while some galaxies are moving away at 3 million mph, in a universe expanding 3 billion trillion kilometers per megaparsec(30.9 trillion Kilometers), HOW IS THE NORTH STAR IN THE SAME POSITION EVERY NIGHT SINCE RECORDED HISTORY BEGAN?, AND HOW ARE THE SEASONAL CONSTELLATIONS END UP IN THE SAME POSITIONS EVERY MONTH,EVERY YEAR?

Literally all of these are explained in Professor Dave's videos. But it's so easy I know them all off the top of my head. 1) They use a cooling system. It's ammonia based, so it has a very fast evaporation rate and then recondenses in the cold. The orbit time is 90 mins so it only has heat on each side for roughly 15 minutes. 2) The moon obeys both the sun and the Earth's gravity. It does not ignore the sun's, but it's small and close to Earth, so Earth has the bigger influence on it. Earth itself is heavily influenced by the sun because it's fairly large, and only influenced slightly by the moon. So the Earth orbits the sun, and the moon orbits Earth. Not sure how you needed that one explained to you. The moon is 238,000 miles from Earth and 90,000,000 miles from the Sun. Which number is farther? 3) When the plane takes off from Canada, it's moving 500 mph in the same direction that the Earth is spinning. It's moving with the Earth and atmosphere. Pretty simple stuff. 4) You'll notice they are visible just after sunset and before sunrise. Not in the middle of the night. Because they're in the direction of the sun.

Don't know if Anthony is aware of this, but the balls used in the NBA are NOT spheres, they are flat. You can't tell because they have to have the flat side facing the TV cameras. Now one might think, wouldn't it be easier to pass the "ball" by just flinging it like a frisbee? Yes, of course, but that is an illegal pass.

@exquisitedoomlapointe185 Жыл бұрын
LOL, speaking of that. What flattards forget is that to make the earth flat, you literally change the geometry of entire continents, and they just happen to chose to flatten , arbitrarily, the earth based on the standard world maps in the middle of the atlantic meaning the edges of the map become thinner and round so australia will become so thin and long that it'll span over over and beyond the earth's actual diameter through it's entire length meanwhile it's so thinned out that if you stepped on the highest australian mountain you could see both oceans on that vantage point which is just not real lol. But no, the atlantic just mysteriously always happen to be the center and the chinese pacific shipping trade is now up to 10 times longer just because, lol. It's almost like they just try to defeat an argument with an untested argument. And all those countries at the edges are now all squirly and elongated and to them it's not easy to prove false. Its all big globe, maaaaan.

SF author Robert Heinlein, in one of his 1950s novels, said, if you can't solve car physics equations, you shouldn't be driving. For hundreds of years, we have used mathematics to answer questions about the world/space. The flat arguments don't cut it. They need to get up to speed on math/physics to muster valid arguments. Instead, their counter to math is "nuh uh!"
@TVsMrNeil Жыл бұрын
Flat Earth Dave doesn't even have arguments. He just poses riddles that he assumes scientists can't solve. "How do you explain _____?!" Then when the smart person in the room explains how it's done, he just moves onto his next question. Flat Earth Dave thinks that if he can just keep doing that, eventually he'll find something to stump the scientist, at which point he wins. Never mind that he's been getting his ass pounded the entire time by someone who knows what he's talking about. It's the Gish Gallop. It's the same thing as debating creationists.

Nice analogy flatard. Dale is dead not because of tangential speed in a circle but tangential speed in a straight line into a wall were he came to violent sudden stop. If the earth ever suddenly stopped rotating we would be in deep shit.
@FlatEarthDavidWeiss Жыл бұрын
He has no idea the difference between angular speed and linear speed. If you were in a car and it was going 1,000 MPH. besides crapping your pants, do you think you would notice if it was turning left and a rate of 2 miles per minute? Thats linear speed and what you would feel on the equator. Now you could claim that it's just drop at 2 miles per minute which is a retarded argument. The problem is when you are north or south of the equator you now are dropping and curving to the side and unimaginable speeds. The bigger problem is if Anthony is reading this now he can't even comprehend what I am saying and is just trying to make jokes. Anthony, you say you watch countless hours of flat earth stuff. Why dont you come on our live stream and bring your best globe proofs? You can even try and bring NDT but he will claim he doesn't have time for flat earthers but he does have time for making straw man videos for the last 8 years.
