Billy Blanks is a very special man and a true legend. Looking back on my entire life, Tae Bo has been one of the best things that ever happened to me. Billy inspires and motivates me to go above and beyond in everything I do.

I was 19 and at my lowest point in life and my highest point in weight. 250 lbs, I tried everything. One early morning I saw an Infomercial for taebo and I said this is my last try. Lost 91 lbs. 20 yrs later I'm still doing it Billy isnt a regular instructor. You can feel his encouragement is genuine. Maybe becausr hd knows what its like to struggle and for everyone to give up one you. I truly appreciate you Billy. You helped change my entire life.

Thank you for sharing billy's life . I'm from Erie and billy was a big influence in my life as a child . in Erie billy worked or volunteered at Sara A Reed children's center I was a child their. Billy was a big motivation in my life. We still keep in touch to this day. Billy is a true soldier of God. Thank you so much for sharing. Billy us amazing. God bless

MORE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THIS STORY!!! I had no idea Billy had a learning disability, and shame can keep people from saying so. My brother has autism and LOVES martial arts, but many times, he is held back from his full potential because it takes patience and focus to help people with disabilities. My brother and I have been using Tae Bo videos to stay active during covid lockdown, and I was curious to know about your story. I did not know Shellie was your daughter, and I did not know your struggle. I don't know the man, but... You are grateful to your father who also struggled, you have 16 kids in your family, your honesty is refreshing, and I LOVE IT.

Amen brother Billy.I know what it's like to suffer in the education system.I had a teacher try to force me to write right handed because I am left handed.According to her it wasn't natural.Ripped up my work because I wrote it with my left and not my right.She even sent educational assessors to my house.I proved the assessors wrong that I wasn't backwards.She got punished in the end

There re children who get push around in the School System and neglected. I was a Single Hardworking Mother and I work very hard with my children to encourage them in anything my Sons wanted to do. Billy you never cease to amaze and teach me something new! I lost my way when my youngest son died unexpectedly from a massive brain bleed his first few months in college, (ironically three months after his birth October 20+ yrs ago, I started my journey listening to you and doing your Basic and Advanced tapes yes tapes lol and lost over 100lbs, made Shape magazine and Tae-Bo tapes, Get Ripped series and Pay Per View) been four years come end of September since he went Home, and 🆎 finally coming out of the darkness and you, my psychiatrist, DBT therapy is showing me the way... like you always say if you have the will Tae-Bo is the way! Thank you for helping me with your words to find that Will! Always, as you dubbed me entering the QVC taping late!, "baby girl" 🆎

I remember going up the back steps of the Glenwood Park YMCA to classes... with Phillip Elliott, Kenny Crenshaw, Jesse McIntosh,, etc... the best of the best. Fighting in Billy's tourney in Sewickley... Miss those days.

WOW I always had a respect and seen Billy as someone to look up to. I started doing Tae Bo in Middle school, That's when I started gaining weight. I've struggled here and there and noticed at the end of Billy's workout as a kid that he says God Bless!!!! We also started going to church at that time with my mom so I always thought WOW he believes In God that's awesome. Anyway I want to say after watching this video I'm even more amazed by Billy and Love to hear how the Lord has Blessed you and your family, it's so Beautiful. Dam i can relate to him so much... i got kicked out of a mainstream school. An went to a special school when i was 9 years old.. i wasnt diagnosed cos the teachers didn't care they just said i was disruptive an had behavioural problems..it hurts when you see other students excel academically.. while your left behind.. but one thing that im greatful for is being genetically gifted, my physique is identical to billy blanks when he was in king of the kickboxer.. and i excel in bodybuilding very easily.. an thats helped me get through life. I believe when a person is incompetent to learn in a specific area they're a genius in something else...
